If reconciliation and an agreement framework between Hamas and the Palestinian government is reached, recognizing the result of a presidential and legislative elections and the election of the National Council after one year is vital regardless of whether it resulted in Hamas or a collation of a Palestinian front victory in order to avoid a split between the two parties into the so called Israeli pros and cons. The diplomatic arena, due to the disparity of military power, is the only area to fight the next battle for as long as there is a Western European intension to end the long conflict and of an American desire to form an acceptable solution and a recognition of a Palestinian government.
There are chances as the pressure is on Israel while it is monitoring the rapidly changing Arab scene, because they do not know how new policies will be formulated with the peace with the Arab countries being on the top of the list a situation may not suit its expectations and plans.
