Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmad Almaghlooth, Spokesman of the Media Ministry and Director General of Center for Government and International Communication, affirmed that unlimited support provided Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Media, was behind the qualitative leap witnessed by the media plan for the Hajj season on the occasion of issuance of the final report of Hajj media plan's achievements 1439H. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he disclosed that Dr. Al-Awwad exerted great efforts in implementing and following-up the media plan, thanking all governmental institutions participating in Hajj season. The Spokesman of the Media Ministry added that the Hajj media plan achieved unprecedented records with 514 million views of the Hajj coverage from the international media outlets including 6234 reports in 42 languages reaching 107 countries around the world. He asserted that the number of the Saudi and Arab media outlets taking advantage of the media services during this Hajj season stood at 500 electronic newspapers, 11 newspapers, 17 media institutions and five news agencies. During this Hajj season, Almaghlooth said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted 818 international media representatives, from more than 100 countries, who exerted great efforts in covering the Hajj and highlighting the status of this religious rite. He added that the Ministry of Media also hosted 250 international influencers including international artists, thinkers, writers and scholars contributing to conveying the real image of the Kingdom in serving the two holy mosques and the pilgrims.
