RIYADH — Qiddiya City will open its Aquarabia water park during the Eid al-Fitr holidays, expected to begin on March 19, according to an official announcement. Aquarabia will be the second major asset to open in Qiddiya City, following the inauguration of Six Flags on Dec. 31, 2025. Speaking during an interview on Fi Alsurah "In the Picture," Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company Abdullah Al-Dawood said the opening of Aquarabia will coincide with the Eid al-Fitr holiday period. "Six Flags is open. After Eid al-Fitr, we will open Aquarabia. Every three months, each year, something new will open, gradually shaping the city," Al-Dawood said. According to Qiddiya City's official website, Aquarabia will feature nine themed zones and 22 games and landmarks, including sweeping slides, a lazy river, pools and aquatic sports attractions. The park will also include 22 dining outlets and seven retail stores. Beyond Aquarabia, Al-Dawood outlined the city's long-term development plan, which is being implemented in three main phases. He said the first phase, expected to be completed by 2028, will include Six Flags, Aquarabia, a speedway, the National Tennis Center, golf courses, up to 15 hotels and residential areas. By 2030, the second phase will introduce additional landmarks such as a performing arts center, Dragon Ball Park, an esports arena, and further hotel and residential developments. The third phase will coincide with the Kingdom hosting the 2034 World Cup and the Asian Games.
