NEOM starts enrolling 50 students for foreign scholarships

RIYADH — NEOM Company has opened registration for the second batch of students for its distinguished foreign scholarship program ending in employment in various sectors of the Kingdom's ambitious giant smart city project. Registration would continue for a week for the brightest young men and women from the local community in the NEOM project zones in the northern Tabuk region.
Fifty distinguished male and female students will be chosen in the second batch of the program this year. They will be offered scholarships with an opportunity to pursue studies in the most prestigious universities in the world in order to empower them with developing their expertise and skills required for future jobs in NEOM's 16 core sectors.
The NEOM Scholarship Program targets students who have recently graduated from secondary schools in the region and that is pursuant to meticulous criteria. This program shows NEOM's commitment to invest in the scientific capabilities of the sons and daughters of the local community by discovering their talents and directing them to study various specializations, to develop their academic capabilities in any one of the top 100 universities around the world.
The program also aims to enhance their linguistic, life and practical skills to lead in line with their ambitions and achieve NEOM's vision to be a global destination for building of future.
NEOM participates in preparing foreign scholarship trip with partners from prestigious local and international bodies and institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Fahd Bin Sultan University, King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in addition to the US-based Institute of International Education (IIE).
NEOM works closely with partners to select male and female scholarship students and prepare them to complete the requirements of study in the world's top 100 universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Korea, Singapore and Japan.
NEOM launched its distinguished scholarship program in 2019 and the number of male and female students who are beneficiaries of this program would reach 250 by 2024.
