RIYADH — The All Saudi 20-Vision-20 handed two-time defending champion Unica a comprehensive beating in a headline match during the 10th session in the Almarai-FBGR Tuesday Night Family Bowling League 17th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center here. As a result of its 24-9 victory, 20-Vision-20 became Team of the Week for the fourth time, the most by any team in the tournament, and the fourth to hold the lead after IBG Eagles, Unica and Talk & Strikes. The Eagles entered the session at No. 1 only to let it slip away in the face of the Saudi bowlers' prodigious display. Also, their 19-9 victory over Talk & Strikes didn't help on total pinfalls of 3,803-3,660. As a consolation, the Eagles grabbed the Bowler of the Week honors, courtesy of team captain Arnold Jesena with his effort of 920 on scratch games of 232, 212, 211 and 245. Alsalam Strikers hammered out a 19-8 win over Lion's Den on total pinfall sof 3,813-3,571 with Team to Beat beating sponsor team Almarai 14-1 (3,455-2,845). Nomercies was a winner by default over Bowlnatics with 15 points and 3,643 pinfalls. 20-Vision-20 never allowed the enemy to win a single game to dominate the match, profiting as usual from multiple player rotation. Mohammad Khalid was at the helm of the Saudis' offense on 839 with Ahmed Yasser Abulreesh and Bandar Al-Yalah chipping in 767 and 720. Salej Al-Ahmi added 667 that went with the 331 by Motaeb Al-Basi, 346 by Mohammed Abulreesh, 232 by Khalid Al-Swandi and 126 by Sami Al-Repai. Besides Jesena Mohd Alyaba and Ahmad Al-Qarquosh had solid series of 830 and 706. Resty de Jesus tallied 674, Donjie Mapalad contributed 503 and Ed Cruz tossed in 190. Over at Alsalam Alfred Valencia rolled the high series of 925 to spearhead the team that also drew 754 from Joseph Rivera, 734 from Melay Valencia, 731 from Rollie Cleofe, 501 from Susie Rivera and 163 from Bandar Al-Marshad. Team to Beat was in full strength in contrast to the shorthanded Almarai squad. The trio of Bon Buyson, Rudy Usudan and Edgar Buenaventura carded the leading scores of 753, 729 and 710 respectively. Fathi Abdulaziz made 632, while Meshael Abdulwahed and Benito Santos added 323 and 308. Leading Nomercies to a walkover win was Jobert Pomado on 867.
