Nissan GTR, Rabya bag crowns

JEDDAH — Nissan GTR of Francis Gallego defeated Al-Muhaidib 69-64 in overtime to grab the Group A championship trophy at the Bin Mafouz basketball court here recently.
Nissan GTR went to the open man in the crucial seconds of the game to clinch the winner. Jason Villanueva scored 13 points for Nissan GTR and clinch the JBL Player of the Game honor. Gary Fadernal scored 21 points for Al-Muhaidib.
Rabya Contractors of Coach Richard Sotto beat Saudi Diyar 56-55 to claim the Group B crown. Manalang scored 18 points for Rabya and was adjudged the Giordano Player of the Game, while Jerald Deleon scored 22 points for Saudi Diyar.
In another clash, Chilis Restaurant defeated Mini Cooper 66-62 to grab a seat in the Inter-Naghi championship series. Pungay top scored with 25 points for Chilis and was adjudged the Saudi Sign Player of the Game.
Sherwin Cabading scored 23 points for the losing side.
Fuddruckers of Elmer Delos Santos beat Hyundai Genesis 98-90 to also make the championship series against Chilis. Melendrez led Fuddruckers with 22 points and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game. Nap Solis netted 20 points for the losing team.
In Friday matches, Erfan Hospital of Doctor Ahmed Erfan beat JDC 88-80.
Noli scored 20 points for Erfan Hospital and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game, while Morhaf top scored for JDC with 20 points.
Mini Cooper of Rommel Jugo defeated Hyundai Genesis 108-82 for a third place finish in the Inter-Naghi division. Sherwin Cabading scored 25 points for Mini Cooper and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game, while Dennis Elmenzo showed his old form converting his perimeter jumpers with 18 points for the losers.
Chilis of Alfredo Villas beat Fuddruckers 69-67 to advance to the best-of-three Inter-Naghi division championship series. Deipharine led Chilis with 19 points and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game, while Melendrez top scored for Fuddruckers with 20 points.
