Mini Cooper wins 4th straight game

JEDDAH – Mini Cooper team of Rommel Jugo defeated Hyundai Genesis 85-83 in a thrilling game of the JBL Basketball tournament at the Bin Mahfouz basketball court here.
Hyundai Genesis almost broke the no-loss record of Mini Cooper but a crucial turnover in the dying seconds handed Mini Cooper its fourth straight win. Cabading top scored with a game high 30 points and was adjudged the Giordano Player of the Game while Ryan Carpina poured 30 points for the loser.
This tournament is sponsored by Giordano Fashions (Ahmedullah), ABS-CBN - The Filipino Channel, Saudi Signs (Sam Adora), Al-Haddaf Sportsware (Bayoumi) and Wael Sports Wear (Noel), Arabian Food Supplies (Ahmad Miri).
Fuddruckers team of Elmer Delos Santos trounced Tike Restaurant 81-63. The winner's running game tired up the loser in the final quarter. Melendez scored 21 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Best Player while Adonis Malabarbas hit 28 points for the loser.
Al-Muhaidib of Pablo Viscayno clobbered STC Terabytes 95-65. The winner caught the loser on its bad day. Gary Fadernal scored 29 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Best Player while playing coach Randy Tuazon scored a career high 25 points for the loser.
Mahmoud Gharib of Simlor Joseph Crisostomo prevailed over Nissan GTR 90-86. Jasper Jonas made 25 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Best Player while Patad scored 13 points for the loser.
In a Friday game, Chilis Restaurant team of Alfredo Villas beat United Naghi 71-65. The winner held its nerves in the dying seconds. Marxis Pungay Masigan top scored with 18 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Best Player while Recayo hit 22 points for the losers.
Jeddah Dawa'h Center of team manager Ahmad Peradilla upset Erfan Hospital 64-61. Jameel Lumanog scored 22 points for the winner and was adjudged the Saudi Sign Best Player. Valle made 16 points for the loser.
Viagra Naghi team of Rigor Santos defeated Aces 82-73. The winner played their offense well in the final quarter. Samson top scored with 25 points and was adjudged the Wael Sports Best Player. Diaz led Aces with 33 points.
