JEDDAH — Inter-MY Naghi Division championship is set to open open in the JBL Basketball Tournament at Bin Mahfouz basketball court at Andalus District here Thursday.
Tike Restaurant of Reynaldo Martos, Hyundai of Dennis Elmenzo, Fuddruckers of Elmer delos Reyes, Chillis of Nino Alfredo Villas, BMW of Rommel Jugo and United Naghi of Dante Caraan will battle for the MY Naghi group supremacy.
Jeddah Dawah Center bounced back from its defeat and beat DHL 59-40 in the 2012 JBL 2nd Conference Non-Rated Basketball Tournament Friday.
The winner showed substantial improvement in its offense. Morhaf Kattan scored 15 points for the winner and was adjudged the Giordano best player while Rafael scored 20 points for the loser.
This tournament is sponsored by Giordano Fashions (Ahmedullah), ABS-CBN — The Filipino Channel, Saudi Signs (Sam Adora), Al-Haddaf Sportsware (Bayoumi) and Wael Sports Wear (Noel). Rabya halted Toyota ALJ's winning streak at 54-44.
The winner shattered the defensive wall of Toyota ALJ in the last two minutes. Ramirez scored 12 points for the winner and was adjudged the TFC best player.
Taguba top scored with 19 points for the loser. Saudia Avaitions team of Andrew Masongsong defeated MODA 82-73.
The winner dominated the rebounding department in the whole game to upset MODA. Richard Velasquez scored 23 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL best player.
Bertolano hit a game-high 31 points for the loser. Viagra Naghi tasted first win by defeating Laylati 68-33.
On Thursday, Saudi Diyar of Jeffrey Esperanza defeated ACES 65-57 and Saudia Catering of Macron Maycacayan beat Jeddah Rockers 83-71.
Mahmoud Gharib team of coach Elmer Tendero defeated Bradley Braves 63-53.
The winner utilized the open space for scoring in the final quarter.
Padilla made 22 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL best player.
Malit scored 19 points for Bradley Braves. Al-Muhaidib beat Red Sea Pirates 94-87.
Pablo Viscayno top scored with 27 points for Al-Muhaidib and was adjudged the Saudi Sign best player while Maymay led Red Sea Pirates with 25 points.
