JEDDAH — Chilis and Fuddruckers sailed through their quarterfinals clashes to reach Inter-Naghi semifinals in the JBL-organized tournament at the Bin Mafouz Basketball Court here recently. Fuddruckers of Elmer delos Santos beat Tike Restaurant 93-60. Tike lost its steam and missed important baskets in the later half of the game. Ernell Padua scored 21 points for Fuddruckers and was adjudged the Giordano Player of the Game, while Adonas scored a career high 35 points for Tike. Chilis Restaurant of Hosam El-Nabusi defeated United Naghi 74-69. The winner played steady offense in the last quartet as Naghi's defense collapsed. Flavier top scored with 15 points for Chilis to clinch the Saudi Sign Player of the Game honors, while Joebert Recayo scored 19 for Naghi. Mahmoud Gharib grabbed third spot in Group A as STC Terabytes lost by default. Nissan GTR of Francis Gallego beat Al-Muhaidib 75-71 to advance to the best-of-3 championship series in Group A. EJ scored 17 points for Nissan and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game. Pablo Viscayno netted 15 points for the losing side. In Friday's matches, Viagra Naghi of Reggie Santos beat Jeddah Marriott Hotel 63-57 to clinch the third spot in Group B. Samson scored 19 points for the winning side and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game. Alberto Bandiolla was the top scorer Marriott with 17 points. Rabya of Richard Sotto beat Saudi Diyar 54-52 to advance to the Group B championship series. Saudi Diyar missed a crunch equalizer to send the game into overtime. Ramirez scored 13 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game, while Junar Manila and Deleon scored 10 points apiece for the losing club. Saudia Catering of Coach Macron Maycacayan beat MODA 89-62 for a place in Group C championship series. The winner dominated the shaded area in the final quarter. Tamondong led Saudia Catering with 25 points and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game, while Borceque top scored with 21 points for the losing side. Erfan Hospital defeated Jeddah Dawah Center 67-48 in Game 1 of the Group C championship series. Arwin Ochavillo scored 13 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game. Jameel and Abdulrahman scored 9 points apiece for the losers.
