Close encounters in SCC T20 Cup

Nasir Abbasi, Samiullah, Yassir, Fahad, Ibrar and Waheed put on great shows for their respective teams in Round 5 of the SCC T20 Cup 2016 here.
The tournament is sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
In Al-Kharj League, Amer Holidays edged King Faisal Blues by 4 runs. Electing to bat first, Amer Holidays posted 188-5. Sami Arshad scored 76 and Kamran Hadi 57. Imtiaz Ahmed and Saqib Saleem picked up 2 wickets each.
King Faisal Blues, in reply, started well with a 136-run opening partnership. Nasir Abbasi blasted 100 off 46 balls and Ayaz Shah contributed 35. After the fall of the openers, there was a major batting collapse and King Faisal Blues was restricted to 184-9. Samiullah was the pick of the bowlers with 4-25 and Kamran Hadi got 2.
In another close encounter, Lahore Lions beat Pakistan Falcons by 3 wickets. Pakistan Falcons put on 222-5. Yassir Ahmed hit 84 while Awais Abbasi added 31 and Nouman Khan 26. Obaidullah claimed 3 wickets. Lahore Lions achieved the target in 19.3 overs thanks to quick-fire 90 off 46 balls by Fahad and 50 by Mansoor. Nawaz added 37 and Sami 22. Farooq and Arif scalped 2 wickets each.
Falcons downed Lahore Badshah by 36 runs. Falcons scored 228-7 with Nadeem Shah making 50, Saleem 39, Farhan 37 and Kamran 35. Imran and Nazir captured 1 wicket each. Lahore Badshah could manage only 192-9. Imran scored 41, Nouman 38, Farman 27 and Samar 22. Ismail and Farman took 2 wickets each.
Pak Shaheen thrashed Riyadh Aces by 10 wickets. Aces made 189-4 with Rizwan Manzoor scoring 74, Umar 38 and Imran 30. Ibrar Ul Haq got 2 wickets and Abdul Waheed 1. Pak Shaheen was home in 14 overs. Ibrar Ul Haq hit 103 off 36 balls and Abdul Waheed 87 off 46 balls.
In Hayer League, Green Bangla humbled Pakhtunkhawa Gladiators by 4 wickets. Gladiators was restricted to 180. Badol picked up 3 wickets, while Kakon and Mithun took 2 each. Green Bangla won the match on last ball of the match. Tuhin scored 44, Kakon 30, Badol 28 and Musa 26.
Riyadh Panthers thumped Riyadh Fighters PPF by 24 runs. Panthers posted 176-7. Saif Ul Rehman scored 82. Riyadh Fighters managed 152, in reply. Raza scalped 3 wickets and Ijaz 2.
Lahore Badshah Green downed Tigers by 22 runs. Lahore Badshah Green notched 150 as Atif hit 34. Sailesh Kaw took 3 wickets, while Sharaf and Mahmood bagged 2 each. Tigers, in reply, managed 128. Mahesh scored 25 and Chondon 24. Muhammad Furqan claimed 4-23, while Sahib Zahideen and Atif took 2 each.
Kashmir Strikers shattered Riyadh Royals by 103 runs. Strikers put on 216-6. Mudassar top scored with 74. Sameer added 34 and Shabbir 30. Shahzad picked up 2 wickets. Royals managed 113-9 with Shahzad making 23. Sameer claimed 3 wickets, while Ishfaq and Faizan took 2 each.
Thales defeated Kingdom Warriors by 28 runs. Thales managed 191-8. Aziz scored 48 and Obaid 42. Yassir bagged 2 wickets. Kingdom Warriors could manage only 163. Akif added 37 and Hussain 23. Ali Behzaad and Abdul Khader got 2 wickets each.
