Imtiaz and Ibrar shine in RCA MoneyGram tourney

RIYADH – Ibrar Ul Haq hit a brilliant century, while Imtiaz did his tricks with the ball in the Super 8 Round of the MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah (CKB) T20 Tournament sponsored by MoneyGram Transfer Service and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC).
In the President Division, CKK beat KFSH Green by 7 wickets. KFSH Green took the strike first and managed a formidable total of 194. Imran grabbed two wickets. Chasing the target, CKK lost some wickets early, but Kashif (65) and Najeeb (60) played well.
KFSH Blues beat Shuraim by 7 wickets. Shuraim elected to bat first and scored 186. Rizwan hit 70, Waqas 44 and Abdulwahid 42. Imtiaz Ahmed bagged 4 wickets, while Athar claimed 3. KFSH Blues reached the target in 18.2 overs thanks to a marvelous innings of 90 by Nasir Abbasi, who was ably supported by Ayaz (41) and Athar (39). Zeeshan, Shahnawaz and Rizwan picked a wicket each.
Lahore Lions thrashed Green Bangla by 8 wickets. Green Bangla put on 152-9. Kakon hit 35, Tuhin 33 and Mithun 28. Lahore Lions raced to the target in 13.4 overs. Shahjahan picked 2 wickets.
Pak Fighters beat Stallions by 7 wickets. Stallions, batting first, scored 177. Zafar and Wasim picked 2 wickets each. Pak Fighters achieved the target in 14.4 overs. Ahsan hit 66, Hilal 32 and Waqar 30.
In the President Division, Pak Shaheen thrashed Star-XI by 102 runs. Batting first, Pak Shaheen posted a huge total of 285-4 thanks to a scintillating knock of 141 by Ibrar Ul Haq. Abdul Waheed, Abdul Wahab and Abdul Qadir added 57, 52 and 24, respectively. Waheed picked 2 wickets. Star XI, in reply, managed 183-9. Amjad scored 61, Abbas 24 and Yassir 21. Abdul Wahab and Abdul Aziz picked 3 wickets each.
Amir Holidays defeated Sulaiman-XI by 8 wickets. Sulaiman-XI was all out for 169. Shoaib hit 45, Faraz 33 and Sulaiman 23. Imran picked 3 wickets, while Kamran bagged 2. Amir Holidays achieved the target in 12.3 overs.
Irfan Mushtaq made 80, Umair 57 and Shahbaz 25. Mudassir picked one wicket. In other matches, Crescent beat Lahore Badshah and Yusafzayi Cricket Club beat Lahore Cricket Club. — SG
