RIYADH — Irfan, Rizwan and Hamza smashed centuries for their respective teams in round 4 of the ongoing SAIB Cricket Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank (SAIB).
Al-Kharaj League (40 overs)
Amer Holidays won over CKK by 135 runs. Amer Holidays posted a massive total of 348-7. Openers Sami (65) and Sohail (67) scored fifties. Irfan played an outstanding innings of 126 not out. Noman was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets. In reply, CKK was all out for 213. Noman top scored with 81, while Najeeb and Omar contributed 45 and 38, respectively.
Pak Shaheen defeated Pakistan Falcons by 54 runs. Batting first, Pak Shaheen scored 323-8 through Abdul Waheed (73), Isha (69), Ibrar (58) and Faisal (49). Awais, Arif and Nauman pocketed 2 wickets each.
Pakistan Falcons could manage only 269. Hamza played a brilliant innings of 115 off 86 balls. Yasir hit 62. Abdul Wahab and Abdul Waheed claimed 3 wickets each.
Riyadh Aces beat Falcons by 16 runs. Riyadh Aces tallied 209-9. Rizwan played a stunning knock of 106 off 67 balls. Nadeem, Farhan and Zeeshan took 2 wickets each, while Farrukh grabbed 3. In reply, Falcons was restricted to 193 in 31 overs. Farhan scored 48, while Nadeem and Asif made 22 and 20 runs, respectively. Naveed picked up 3 wickets. Farman and Moaib took 2 each.
Hayer League
Thales lost to Kashmir Strikers by 3 wickets. Thales posted 191-7. Qaiser and Aziz were the key contributors with 48 and 41, respectively. Mushtaq took 3 wickets and Sabzar 2. Kashmir Strikers succeeded in 19.5 overs. Sameer (44) and Shabir (31) played vital innings. Abdul Qadir claimed 4 wickets and Ali 2.
In a low scoring thriller, Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators flattened AKCC Blues by 17 runs. Pakhtunkhwa compiled 147. AKCC Blues was bowled out for 130. Waqar scored 47 and Shoib 34. Haider, Abdullah, Naveed, Iftikhar and Farman took 2 wickets each.
Patriots crushed Lahore Badshah Green by 8 wickets. Lahore Badshah Green was all out for 118. Atif and Usman showed some resistance with 31 and 34, respectively. Arif was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets. Patriots rushed to achieve the target in 13 overs. Zeeshan played a brilliant knock of 81.
AKCC lost to Tigers by 10 runs. Tigers put on 184-6. Mahesh blasted 50 and Mujahid 42. Sheraz grabbed 3 wickets and Kamal 2.
In reply, AKCC managed 174. Sajjad top scored with 45, while Sheraz and Sultan contributed 42 and 41, respectively. Junaid picked up 3 wickets.
TBCC cruised to victory over Kingdom Warriors by 72 runs. TBCC piled up a massive 214. Qadir smashed 61 and Shareed 36. Kingdom Warriors was bowled out for 142. Faisal was the wrecker-in-chief with 4 wickets.
Fast CC humbled Black Caps by 10 wickets. Black Caps collected 125. Ijaz was simply unplayable as he picked up 5 wickets. Emad took 2. Fast CC scored the required (126) runs in just 10.2 overs without any loss. Salman and Sulaiman remained not out on 60 and 59, respectively.
Riyadh Panthers won against Imran XI by 35 runs. Riyadh Panthers racked up 199. Bilal smashed 51. Asim and Shahzeb were unlucky to miss fifties, getting out on 49 and 48, respectively. Azmat took 2 wickets. Imran XI scrabbled to 164. Usman claimed 3 wickets. Mubashir, Raza and Ijaz took 2 each.
