Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Council of Ministers highly valued the contents of the Royal Order issued last Monday on procedures and sanctions against those who participate in hostilities outside the Kingdom or belong to extremist religious or intellectual currents or groups - and the like - or those classified as terrorist organizations, and the noble order's goal of achieving the objectives of Islamic law in protecting the nation's religion, security, unity and cohesion away from rivalry and conflict guided by the words of Almighty Allah "And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'an), and be not divided among yourselves" and based on the rules of Islamic law developing the necessary guarantees to save the structure of the state from all those who violate the constitutional course agreed upon in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia representing the public order which has bolstered its security and on which its people has agreed to be guided by it in light of the guidance of Almighty Allah and which protects the country's youth from foreign ideas alien to our harmonious legal approach. The Council commended the ongoing preparations for the opening of the twenty ninth session of the National Festival for Heritage and Culture in Janadriya, which will be patronized - on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, on Wednesday and which is organized by the Ministry of National Guard. The Crown Prince briefed the Council on the contents of his talks with the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Hazem Al-Beblawi, highlighting the strong fraternal relationship binding the two countries and their peoples.
