A late goal by Swedish midfielder Christian Wilhelmsson steered Al-Hilal to a 1-1 draw against Al-Nasr in their first leg match for King's Cup for Champions at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh Friday. The Riyadh rivals will meet at the same avenue on April 26 in the second-leg match. The winner will advance to the semifinals of the eight-team championship, which comprises top teams in the Saudi League. In other matches of the day, Saudi Premier League champion Al-Ittihad beat Al-Ittifaq 1-0 in Dammam while Al-Shabab punished Al-Wehdah 5-2 in Makkah. Talal Al-Mishal scored the only goal in the Al-Ittihad vs. Al-Ittifaq tie in the 98th minute after the home side played with 10 men after Ibrahim Al-Mughanam was sent off midway through the second half. In the Makkah match, Marcello Camacho, Nasser Al-Shamrani, Abdu Atif, Talal Al-Bouloshi and Zaid Al-Mouald scored for Al-Shabab before Kamel Al-Mor and Amir Al-Akrout tried to reduce the margin. Al-Shabab will host Al-Wehdah in Riyadh on April 25, a day before Al-Ittihad takes on Al-Ittifaq at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal in Jeddah. In the Riyadh derby, it was striker Rayan Bilal who put Al-Nasr ahead after 22 minutes thanks to Hossam Ghaly's pass inside the box. Bilal shot the ball to the far left side of Al-Hilal goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Daeyea. Al-Hilal's Ahmed Al-Fraidi was forced to leave the pitch after an injury seven minutes after kick-off.
