A Saudi father has accused a private school of holding the file of his daughter, Sarah, who had been transferred to a government school. The school management held the file of the girl under the pretext that she had not paid the school fees, a matter that deprived her of enrolling in the government school for three years. By doing so, the school authority violated Ministry of Education instructions warning private schools against holding students' files for financial reasons. Sarah's mother said that difficult financial circumstances had prevented them from paying the school fees pointing out that the school's management refused to dispatch Sarah's file to the government school unless the fees were paid. She said all her attempts to convince the school's principal were in vain, as he refused to respond to her pleas. She called upon the concerned authorities to intervene to put an end to this problem as her daughter's future was at stake.
