Punjab Lions clinch a thriller in RCA

RIYADH — Round two matches of the SAIB T20 tournament, which is sponsored by The Saudi Investment Bank and organized by RCA, were played here recently.
Huraymala League
Riyadh Warriors lost a thriller to Punjab Lions by 3 runs. Punjab Lions scored a below par 131. Amir top scored with 29. Toufeeq took 4 wickets, while Abdul Gaffor, Shakeel and Azeez got 2 wickets each. Riyadh Warriors were bowled out for 128 in 16.2 overs. Ayaz hit 40 and Premnawaz 31. Majid took 4 wickets, while Asad and Aftab got 2 wickets each.
Fonte Stars registered a thumping 10-wicket victory over Crescent. Crescent tallied 193. Fonte Stars chased down the required runs in 13.4 overs. Bilal Wani and Waseem stayed unbeaten on 106 and 77, respectively.
Al-Babtain crushed AKCC 75 runs. Al-Babtain scored a massive total of 242-4 through Ijaz (70), Rizwan (65) and Umar (44). Latafat and Faisal took 2 wickets each. AKCC managed only 167. Khurram took 2 wickets.
Diriyah League
Pak Saudi Warriors (PSW) thrashed Challengers-XI by 8 wickets. Challengers-XI piled up 177. Ihsan top scored with 65 and Ashraf made 22. Raza and Talal took 2 wickets each. Pak Saudi Warriors chased down the target for the loss of two wickets. Raza (66), Haseeb (49) and Bilal (37) took PSW to victory.
Strikers were crushed by Kashmir-XI by 82 runs. Kashmir-XI put on 213. Showkat and Shafat scored 91 and 48, respectively. Strikers were bowled out for 131 in 13.5 overs. Majid took 4 and Altaf grabbed 2 wickets.
Bannu Eagles downed Youngsters by 2 wickets. Youngsters recorded 149. Zahid (38) and Adnan (22) were the main scorers. Bannu Eagles chased down the target in 19 overs. Shaukat, Imran, Sajid and Sadiq took 2 wickets each.
Delhi Daredevils lost to Seham by 9 wickets. Dehli scored 200 for 8. Iqbal, Tahir and Nasir took 2 wickets each. Seham won the match in the 18th over. Waseem smashed an unbeated 108 and Nasir scored 59.
Saudi Orix
In the Saudi Orix quarterfinal, Nauman Gymkhana thumped Lahore Badshah Green by 5 runs. Nauman Gymkhana piled up 184 for 7. Amjad and Izhar scored 50 and 45, resepctively. Mubashir took 3 wickets. Lahore Badshah Green managed only 179. Aftab and Mubashir shared 3 wickets each, while Amjad got 2.
