RIYADH — Round eight matches were played in the ongoing Saudi Orix Cricket Tournament, which is organized by RCA and sponsored by Saudi Orix Leasing Company here.
In Hayer League, Rawdah Heats defeated Indian Strikers by 29 runs. Batting first, Rawdah Heats posted 185 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Atif scored 58 and Hassan 50. Anees grabbed 4 wickets and Anees Jr. 2. Indian Strikers were bowled out for 156. Saif and Saud bowled superbly and took 4 wickets each.
Grundfos were outclassed by TBCC. Batting first, Grundfos managed 100. TBCC bowlers bowled in right areas as Salam, Asif and Faisal picked up 2 wickets each.
TBCC rushed to the target in the 11th over. Faisal hit 55 and Hakeem 22. Green Bangla thumped Kashmir Strikers by 27 runs. Green Bangla posted 171 for 9.
Mehboob and Zakir scored 23 each. Musthaq and Ishfaq grabbed 3 wickets each. Kashmir Strikers were restricted to 143 for 6. Its main scorers were Mudasir (32) and Mushtaq (31). Zakir took 2 wickets.
Pak Eagles thumped Pasban CC by 31 runs. Eagles tallied 151. Altaf and Suliman scored 41 and 32, respectively. Pasban was bowled out for 120. Mohsin picked up 4 wickets, while Wahid got 3.
Thales defeated Lahore Badshah Green by 74 runs. Thales recorded 200-9 through Aziz (54) and Khader (47). Atif and Wasim took 3 wickets each. Lahore Badshah Green could manage only 126. Atif top scored with 48.
Khader and Waheed picked up 2 wickets each. Kingdom Warriors prevailed over Riyadh Royals by 7 runs. Kingdom Warriors were bowled out for 150. Adil contributed 64 and Zeeshan 26.
Majid claimed 4 wickets, while Ahmed and Naveed took 2 each. Riyadh Royals scored 143 for 6. Irshad smashed 62 and Majid 36. Adil, Abid, Arif and Farhan got 1 wicket each.
Nouman Gymkhana was victorious against White Star CC. Nouman Gymkhana posted a huge total of 229 for 6. Amjad, Saad and Izhar scored fifties. White Star CC managed 164 for 7. Ali claimed 3 wickets and Aftab 2.
Diriyah League
Punjab Stars defeated Kashmir-XI by 23 runs. Batting first, Punjab Stars scored 182 for 9. Sagheer hit 68 and Faiz 64.
Waseem was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets, including a hat trick. Kashmir-XI managed 159 for 8. Shafat and Basit scored 39 and 23, respectively. Asif took 3 wickets.
Pakhtunkwa Gladiators thumped Hayat Warriors by 16 runs. Pakhtunkwa Gladiators made 175-3 through Bilal (59) and Sulman (50). Hayat Warriors, in reply, were restricted to 159-8.
Naveed scored 42 and Salman 37. Ayaz picked up 3 wickets. Al-Momen Int. School lost to Strikers by 1 wicket. Al-Momen tallied 137. Strikers chased the target with just one wicket in hand.
Etrut (32) and Arsaln (23) were the key contributors. Aslam took 3 wickets and Hassan 2.
