JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued a royal order appointing Dr. Majid Al-Fayyad as an advisor at the Royal Court, it was announced on Wednesday. Dr. Al-Fayyad currently serves as the Executive General Supervisor of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. A distinguished figure in Saudi Arabia's medical field, he brings decades of clinical, academic, and administrative expertise to his new advisory role. He earned his medical degree from King Saud University in Riyadh, followed by specialized training in Pediatrics at Tufts University and Pediatric Cardiology at Columbia University. He holds certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics and its Sub-Board of Pediatric Cardiology and completed additional training in Electrophysiology at Baylor University. In 2015, Dr. Al-Fayyad received a Master's degree in Medical Administration from the University of Southern California. His contributions to healthcare research and administration have been widely recognized, with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and grants from top institutions. He has also played a key role in various national healthcare committees and strategic initiatives. In 2017, Dr. Al-Fayyad was appointed by royal decree as the Executive General Supervisor of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital, a role in which he has led major reforms and advancements in Saudi Arabia's healthcare system.
