Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al-Saud, Minister of Education
Born in Riyadh in 1949, Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammed Al-Saud obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Menlo Park University in the United States in 1971, and a Masters' in Industrial Engineering from Sanford University 1973.
He worked at the Research and Industrial Development Center at the Ministry of Commerce from 1971 to 1973, and went on to become Undersecretary for the National Guard's Western Sector, a position he held from 1992 to 2003, and since then he has occupied the post of General Intelligence Deputy Chief until this year.
Abdul Aziz Al-Khoja, Minister of Information and Culture
Born in Makkah in 1940, Abdul Aziz Al-Khoja acquired a Bachelor of Science degree from King Saud University and completed a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry in Great Britain in 1967. He completed his PhD in Organic Chemistry at Birmingham University in 1969.
Al-Khoja became Dean of the Faculty of Education in Makkah in 1979 before being appointed as Undersecretary for Information Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture in 1984. He was appointed as the Kingdom's Ambassador to Turkey in 1991, and later served as ambassador in Russia, Morocco and Lebanon, where he has served for the past five years.
Abdullah Al-Rabea, Minister of Health
Born in Riyadh in 1955 Al-Rabea acquired an MBBS from King Saud University in 1979 and completed his Masters' in Pediatric Surgery through Alberta University in Canada and the Canadian Board of Surgeons in 1985, and finally the Canadian Board of Pediatric Surgeons in 1987.
Al-Rabea has held the position of Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery at King Saud University, Consultant Pediatric Surgery at King Khaled University, and has worked as a part-time Consultant Pediatric Surgeon for King Khaled National Guard Hospital.
He was appointed Consultant Pediatric Surgeon at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, and in 2005 became Executive Director General of Health Affairs at the National Guard.
Muhammad Bin Abul Karim Al-Issa, Minister of Justice
Born in 1965, Al-Issa graduated in Shariah Law from Imam Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University. He went on to obtain his Master's and Doctorate from the university's Higher Institute of the Judiciary.
After working as a member of post-graduate teaching studies staff at the university, Al-Issa was appointed in 2007 as Vice President to the Board of Grievances.
Abdullah Bin Mohammad Aal-Sheikh, Shoura Council Chairman
Born in Dir'iyyah in 1951, the new Shoura Council Speaker took his elementary, intermediate and secondary education at the Religious Institute of Imam Mohammad Bin Saud University in Riyadh, and, in 1975, received his degree from the university's Shariah College.
Following his graduation, Aal Al-Sheikh was appointed as a demonstrator at the Shariah College before earning a scholarship in 1979 to Al-Azhar University in Egypt where he obtained his Master's Degree. He acquired his PhD in Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) from Imam Mohammad Bin Saud University in 1987.
Aal Al-Sheikh was appointed as a member of the Board of Senior Ulema in 1992, and three years later became the Minister of Justice, his ministerial term being renewed in 2003. Abdullah Bin Mohammad Aal Al-Sheikh is also a member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
Abdul Aziz Bin Humayen Al-Humayen, Chief of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice
Born in Zulfi in 1963, Al-Humayen graduated from Riyadh's Shariah College in 1986 and has subsequently worked in the judiciary and as a consultant at the Royal Court.
Al-Humayen was also Chairman of Qur'an Memorization Committee in Ulaa and Al-Russ, and President of Al-Bir Charity. He was also secretary of the Qassim Housing Development General Secretariat.
Norah Al-Fayez, Deputy Education Minister for Women's Education
Born in Shaqra in 1956, Norah Al-Fayez was awarded her Bachelor Degree by the Sociology Department at King Saud University in 1979. She went on to gain a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Utah State University in the United States in 1982.
From 1983-1988, Al-Fayez was head of Ministry of Education's Educational Technology Center and a member of the Training Board of the ministry's Administration Institute. In 1993 she became a ministry educational supervisor for girls' private education and was later made General Director of the Women's Department at the Administration Institute in Riyadh. __
