RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have donated a total of SR150 million to the second Jood Regions Campaign, launched on the occasion of the advent of Ramadan. The King has donated SR100 million while the donation of the Crown Prince amounted to SR50 million. "This underscores their ongoing support for housing programs and initiatives aimed at providing homes for needy families in the Kingdom," said Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail. The minister expressed gratitude for this support, emphasizing its significant impact on the families' quality of life and stability. This is part of the continuous efforts of the Developmental Housing Foundation (Sakan) through the "Jood Housing" platform since its launch, which has so far made available more than 41,500 housing units. Al-Hogail said that this support from the King and the Crown Prince comes as a continuation of their keenness to empower humanitarian initiatives, in which the roles of government, private and non-profit entities are integrated, in addition to members of society. "This will achieve the goals of the foundation through community contributions via the platform that is based on giving housing to families that deserve it, thus achieving quality of life and family stability for them," he said. This year's campaign, under the slogan "Generosity requires a stand", seeks to enhance social awareness and community participation in supporting deserving families through the platform during the days of the holy month. Al-Hogail hoped that the campaign would help achieve a great and effective impact on the provision of suitable housing units for the deserving families.
