In line with its continuous commitment to provide quality healthcare in Saudi Arabia, DaVita Kidney Care, a division of DaVita Inc., and a leading provider in kidney care services, has announced the opening of two more clinics in the Kingdom — one in Makkah - its first in the holy city, and the other one in Tabuk. Commenting on the opening of its clinic in Makkah, Dr. Abdul Kareem Alsuwaida, chief medical officer of DaVita Saudi Arabia, said "we are excited to be opening a DaVita clinic in such a beautiful city, built on strong values and traditions." The center will care for 120 patients and will offer job opportunities, which includes on-going training and development, to healthcare professionals in the region. Commenting on the opening of its' new clinic in Tabuk, Dr. Alsuwaida said "opening the DaVita Tabuk Dialysis Clinic is an important milestone as it is the first clinic opening in the northwestern region, providing the communities with access to high-quality dialysis care Moreover, "with DaVita's patient satisfaction rates across the kingdom at 97%, our clinical care teams look forward to welcoming our new patients and working with them to improve their outcomes and achieve the highest health-related quality of life." The DaVita Tabuk Dialysis Clinic will care for 132 patients. With a growing prevalence of diabetes and hypertension in Saudi Arabia, the number of people with kidney disease is rising quickly and over 90% of Saudi's with kidney disease don't know they have it. To help build awareness for kidney disease, DaVita launched a 60-second online risk quiz at DaVita website. In just two months, over 3,400 Saudis have completed a kidney disease risk quiz, with nearly 83% (2,822 Saudis) having at least one risk factor.
