Midget Gray wins in Titan Teens Tournament

JEDDAH - The JBL Teens opened its Season 1 basketball tournament dubbed as Titan Watch–JBL Teens Basketball Tournament at the Khalidia basketball court here last weekend.
The twenty participating teams paraded in their resplendent uniforms during the opening ceremony, which was presided over by JBL President Mohammed Rasheed Suyat with the support of coaches Donald Doloso and Rey Madattu of JBL Teens.
Shiekh Abu Abdulrahman of Breman Islamic Center was the main speaker on the occasion. His inspiring welcome address in fluent Tagalog language amazed everyone in attendance.
SKNSJ President Mohammed Acub headed the Oath of Sportsmanship, while Tito Glen Sibag was the Master of the Ceremony.
The awards for the Best Team in Uniform went to Team Red and Team Yellow in the Midget Division, and Team Yellow and Team Green in the Juniors Division.
On the field, Team Gray beat Team Black 68-62. The winner played its heart out in the final quarter. Michael Madattu top scored with 30 points for the winner and was adjudged the Titan Watch Player of the Game. Mohammad Abdulmanan led the losers with 20 points.
The tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al Husseini & Al Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Husseini) with the co-sponsor Radian Massage (Mahmoud Omer), and parents and friends of JBL Teens.
Team Violet defeated Team Yellow 75-52 also in the Midget Division. Aldrin Francisco scored 27 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game. Ranmhel Palad had 19 points for the loser.
Juniors Team Yellow edged Team Green 145-144 in double overtime. Osama Brown top scored with 54 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Teens Player of the Game while Densen Dolloso and Mohammed Acud chipped in with 60 and 51 points respectively for the losers.
In the Saturday matches, Midget Team Green thumped Team Red 56-28. Ryan Dimaro scored 12 points for the winner and was named the JBL Player of the Game. Usman Jehar had 14 points for the loser.
Midget's Team Gray downed Team Yellow 68-60. Michael Madattu collected 27 points for the winner and was picked as the best player of the game. Washim Shikani and Frederick Angadol scored 16 points apiece for the loser.
Juniors' Team Black overpowered Team Yellow 68-56. Wayne Ching top scored with 23 points for the winner and was adjudged the Titan Watch Player of the Game. Osama Brown led the loser with 17 points.
