Seniors Black and Red teams advance

JEDDAH — Seniors Black team of Sam Sabangan defeated Green 64-57 in the 3rd season FAME Gensoul Basketball tournament here.
Glenn Musngi scored 27 points for the winner and was adjudged the Gensoul Best Player of the Game, while Donald Dolloso led the loser with 19 points.
Fame Gensoul tournament is organized under the leadership of coach Sam Sabangan, Edwin Gonzales (tournament commissioner), Nak Santiago, Andy Eslabon and Vicky Navarro.
Midget Red of coach Sam Sabangan beat Violet 24-23. Zydrick Amores scored 9 points for the winner and was adjudged the Best Player. Gabriel Sean Carbo top scored for the loser with 9 points.
Junior Yellow of coach Raffy David defeated Black 48-39. Gerry Acosta top scored with 26 points for the winner, while Job Emmanuel Acedera chipped in with 17 points for the loser.
Midget Black of Donald Dolloso defeated Grey 48-36 for its fourth straight win. Justin Durante poured in 32 points for the winner. Alexander Adam Romualdo contributed 19 points for the loser.
In Friday matches, Midget Orange of coach Glenn Musngi beat Red 52-44. Michael Maddatu led the scorers with 38 points for the winner, while Frederick Angadol made 13 points for loser.
Junior Grey of coach Ali Gaspar defeated Orange 64-56 as Herian Jake Sena scored 30 points. He was adjudged the Best Player. Harrieth Pandapatan top scored with 14 points for the loser.
Midget Blue of coach Ernel Paner beat Yellow 52-34. Aldrine Joe Francisco, who made 16 points for the winner was selected as the Best Player. John Moses Sadang collected 17 points for the loser.
Juniors Blue of coach Ernel Paner and assistant coach Carlo Carbo won over Black Team 54-52. Rafael Gino Oliva led the winner with 15 points and was named the Best Player. Job Emmanuel Acedera chipped in with 16 points for the loser.
Seniors Red of coach Gerry Acosta defeated Blue 89-88 in overtime. It was a shocking loss for Blue as it was leading by 2 points with just 8 seconds left. But a buzzer-beating shot by Hector Alcala won the game for Red. Jomar Nalus scored 27 points for the winner and was adjudged the Best Player. Raffy David scored 34 points for the loser.
