Imran and Irfan steal the show

JEDDAH — Imran Qaiser and Irfan Ayazuddin stole the show by blasting unbeaten centuries in the SCC Morning Cup T20 Tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA).
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group, AGA, MFCC, Hyderabad Strikers, ALJ Toshiba, Nesma Holding and Stallions emerged winners in the matches played last week.
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group won against Jeddah Tigers by 106 runs. Al-Kabbani Cricket Group plundered 225-3. Imran Qaiser slammed an unbeaten 167 in 68 balls with 15 hits to the ropes and 7 sixes. He added 118 for the opening stand with Sheraz Malik (18). Waheed took 3-34. Jeddah Tigers responded with 119. Abdul Khaliq scored 45 and Nana 16. Asad grabbed 2-8 and Khaleel 2-14.
AGA downed Wolves XI by 3 wickets. Wolves XI posted 160 for 8. Yasir made 26, Sohail 41, Irfan 25 and Kashan 23. Laal took 3-11 and Fahad 2-16.
AGA, in response, reached 163-7 on the last ball of the match. Laal top scored with 48, Jaan 23, Mohsin 17 and Muzammil 33. Tayyab took 4-35.
MFCC edged past Al-Mazroi Salonpas by 3 runs. MFCC piled up 178-7. Imran hit 27 and Jibran 24. Farhan hammered 65 in 35 balls. He added 79 with Shafaqat (29). Salman Patel took 2-35. Al-Mazroi Salonpas, in reply, was stranded at 175-7. Salman Patel stroked 50 in 39 balls as he added 79 runs with Faisal Patel (39). Imran Topia remained unbeaten on 17 and Sahel Bhagat unbeaten on 16. Babar was the pick of the bowlers with 4-32.
Hyderabad Strikers scraped through by one run against Brasa De Brazil.
Hyderabad Strikers piled up 186-3, thanks to a scintillating innings by Irfan Ayazuddin who blasted an unbeaten 120 in 57 balls with 15 fours and 5 sixes. He added 129 in 72 balls for the second wicket with Anwaar Khan (36). Asim took 2-34.
Brasa De Brazil could manage 185. Asim scored 37, Kashif 21, Faisal 18 and Shahid 15. Jaweed Ahmed took 3-25 and Abdullah 2-17. ALJ Toshiba trounced Apex Express by 6 wickets. Apex Express posted 146-3. Rizwan hammered 53 in 46 balls. He added 100 for the third wicket with Abdulazeez who remained unbeaten on 66 in 48 balls after they were 10 for 2. Bilal took 2-20.
ALJ Toshiba reached 147-4 in 88 balls. Tanveer hit 50 in 23 balls. Amir remained unbeaten on 26. He added 68 with Zahid (37). Basheer made 15.
Nesma Holding prevailed over Edge Tek by 115 runs. Nesma Holding produced 194-5. Ben made 57 in 34 balls. First he added 52 with Saqib Butt (42) and then 85 with skipper Sheraz Butt who retired on 48. Saleem Mehar compiled 26. Usama took 2-29.
Edge Tek was restricted to 79-8. Azeem made 20 and Ehtesham 34. Saqib Butt exhibiting fine all-round performance took 4-13, while Jawwad and Saleem Mehar had identical figures of 2-12.
Stallions had the last laugh against Deccan Youth by 7 wickets. Deccan Youth could manage 118-7. Ibrahim made 32 and Hidayat 32. Two scalps each were taken by Jawad 2-29, Jahanzeb 2-9 and Abdulrafay 2-26.
Stallions achieved 121-3 in 55 balls. Asghar was the top scorer with an unbeaten 51 in 22 balls. He added a match-winning 68 with Abdulrafay (24). Emaduddin contributed 26.
