JEDDAH — Azizya Elegant, ALJ Toshiba, Al-Mazroi Salonpas, Emper Perfumes, Cousin XI, ATC, MFCC, Wolves XI and AGA defeated their respective rivals in the week 5 hostilities of the WPCA Summer Morning Tournament here.
Azizya Elegant edged past Jeddah Tigers by one wicket. Jeddah Tigers, opting to bat first, posted 117 for 6. Abdullah hit 50 in 37 balls and Abdulkhaliq 20. Abdullah Rizwan took 2-28 and Habibul Rehman 2-26. Azizya Elegant reached 120 for 9 in 90 balls. Talal made 35, Osama 18 and Habib 16. Abdullah claimed 2-16 and Ghafour 2-17.
ALJ Toshiba downed Zamil Cool Care by 2 wickets. Zamil Cool Care produced 160. Jubaire scored 22, Waqas 30 and Tahir 19. Bilal grabbed 3 for 24, Azeem 2-13 and Siraj 2-17. ALJ Toshiba reached 165 for the loss of 8 wickets in 101 balls. Aamir Gujjar hit 51 in 32 balls, Aftab 20, Bilal an unbeaten 39 and Aadil 17. Majid scalped 3 for 22 and Kamran 2-49.
Al-Mazroi Salonpas crushed Jeddah Gladiators by 10 wickets. Jeddah Gladiators, choosing to bat first, got to 120 for 8. Rasheed made 20, Hamdan an unbeaten 31 and Imran 15. Sufiyan Laheri grabbed 3 for 20. Al-Mazroi Salonpas made 122 without the loss of a single wicket. Farhan Patel slammed an unbeaten 50 in 29 balls and Farook remained unbeaten on 58 in 34 balls with 10 fours as the two added match-winning 122 in 61 balls.
Emper Perfumes thrashed INMA by 111 runs. Emper Perfumes racked up 206 for 3. Khadim hit 24, Jawad 68, Nisar 27 not out and Zeeshan 42 not out. INMA, in reply, was restricted to 95 for 8 as Mehboob Shabbir grabbed 6 for 15. Nadeem scored 27.
Black Hawks defeated Cousins Xi by 16 runs. Black Hawks produced 140 for 8. Kashif hit 64, Fahad 19 and Sabir 16. Naveed Qamar picked up 5-17 and Aqeel 2-33. Cousins XI was left stranded at 124-4. Aqeel notched 15, Adil 31 and Irfan Khan 50 not out.
ATC thrashed Royal Brothers by 3 wickets. Royal Brothers managed 115 for 9 with Abdullah (37), Waqas (19) and Hanif (18) among the runs. Usman claimed 2-19 and Asif 2-21. ATC got to the winning target of 116 for 7. Nasir hit an unbeaten 57 and Kashif 31. Umer took 2-37.
MFCC trounced Hyderabad Strikers by 5 wickets. Hyderabad Strikers mustered up 128 for 5. Jaweed Ahmed hit 29, Irfan top scored with 40 and Zahid 20. Yasin Warraich claimed 3 for 30. MFCC got to the target of 129 for 5. Imran scored 17, Sajjad 43 not out and Farhan 20 not out. Sarfaraz took 3-22.
Wolves XI got the better of Al-Kabbani Cricket Group by 19 runs. Wolves posted 187-4. Nasir (39), Yasir (35), Irfan (32), Rayyan (40) and Mohammed (27 not out) were the main contributors. Al-Kabbani could manage only 168-9. Khaliluddin hit 34, Imran Qaiser 48 and Luqman 44. Tayab took 3-28 and Nasir 2-36.
AGA thrashed Ralco by 50 runs. AGA plundered 196-3 with Jaan scoring 54, Kamran 17, Fahad Hashmi 44 and Fahad Khan an unbeaten 53. Nadeem took 2-50. Ralco was left stranded at 146 for 5. Imran hit 39 and Sayid 42. Farooq claimed 2-16 and Jaan 2-10.
