Sheraz picks 5 wickets as bowlers shine in WPCA

JEDDAH — Crown Blue, Arcoma, ADI XI, Stallions, New Young Stars, Jeddah Challengers, MFCC and Nesma Holding won their respective matches in the 4th week hostilities at WPCA Morning Summer Tournament here.
Crown Steel defeated Tata Motors by 6 wickets. Tata Motors posted 153 for 4. Aqeel scored 32, Waqas Abbas 18, Mudassir Iqbal 44 and Faisal remained unbeaten 27. Crown Blue got to the winning target of 154 for the loss of 4 wickets in 98 balls. Arif Jutt hammered 51 as he added 79 with Faiz (37 not out). Haseeb scored 19.
Arcoma got the better of Sadafco by 78 runs. Arcoma piled up 215 for 4. Kaleem blasted 67 in 37 balls as he stitched 109 with Shareef (48). Anas Malik compiled 32, Mustafa 20 and Ismail 28. Wajid took 2-34. Sadafco was bowled out for 137. Iqbal Patel contributed 27, Zubair 43 and Tauseef 20.
Majid was the wrecker-in-chief with 4 for 14, Wasi Rabbani took 3-18 and Anas Malik 2-27.
GBest edged past Al-Saudi Green by 20 runs. GBest produced 143 for 5 with Aamer hammering 59, Aleem 24, Adil 45 and Mudassir 18. Mudassir scored 18. Manzoor took 2-7 and Munzir 2-24. Al-Saudi Green in chase was restricted to 123 all out. Nazeer Farooqui scored 45 and Faisal 16. Aleem grabbed 4-17 and Qavi 2-45.
ADI XI thrashed INMA by 50 runs. Adeel compiled 51 in 33 balls as he added 90 in 49 balls with Bilal (50). Makki remained unbeaten on 22 and Afsar unbeaten on 19. Faisal added 19. Waseem claimed 2-19 and Fairoz 2-31. INMA, in reply, was restricted to 130. Safi hit 25 and Dayan 15. Afser (2-17), Faisal (2-17) and Usman (2-22) claimed two scalps each.
Stallions crushed Black Hawks by 150 runs. Stallions racked up 237 for 5. Abdulrehman stroked 43 and Asghar 51 as the two added 115 for the opening stand. Hassan scored 39, Amjad 30 and Arsalan 39 not out. Usman took 3 for 58. Black Hawks was bundled out for 87. Fahad scored 20. Hassan Ali grabbed 3-18, Wasim 2-19, Faizan 2-3 and Amjad 2-13.
New Young Stars thumped ATC by one run. New Young Stars produced 153 for 5. Amir Siddiqui hit 88 and Rafaqat 23 as the duo added 88. Qassim contributed 28. Amir took 2-20. ATC, in chase, fell short by a solitary run. Nasir stroked 26, Abdulraheem 20, Asif 18, Irfan 22 not out and Amir 37. Ibrar scalped 3-19 and Waheed 2-39.
Jeddah Challengers downed Hanifa Tigers by 23 runs. Jeddah Challengers, opting to bat first, put on 199 for 3. Abubaker smashed 75 as he first added 99 with Farhan (49) and then 73 with Abdulaziz (52 not out). Adnan took 2-12. Hanifa Tigers, in response, was restricted to 176. Omer made 30, Zia 45 and Kashif 30. Faisal took 3 for 31 while Rafeeq and Abubaker bagged identical 2-27.
MFCC trounced Kashmir Strikers by 6 wickets. Kashmir Strikers was bowled out for 158. A. Awais smashed 58 in 24 balls, Kashif 25 and Shabbir 17. Farooq took 3-26, Farhan 3-31 and Sajjad 2-23. MFCC was home (159) for 4. Waseem hit 43 as he added match-winning 58 with Farhan (37). Shahbaz compiled an unbeaten 39. Shabbir took 2-27.
Nesma Holding had the last laugh against Hyderabad Strikers by 7 wickets. Hyderabad Strikers was bowled out for 129 as Aman hit 25, Irfan Ayazuddin 58 and Ibrahim 16. Sheraz was the destroyer-in-chief with 5 for 13. Nesma reached the target of 130 for 3 in 78 balls. Rana scored 61 and Furkan made 32.
