Bowlers shine in WPCA Morning T20

JEDDAH — Al-Mazroi XI, Universal XI, Stallions, Royal Brothers, Arcoma, New Young Stars and MFCC won their respective matches in the WPCA Morning T20 Tournament.
In the first match Stallions beat Jeddah Challengers by 75 runs. Stallions, put into bat, racked up 217 for 6 thanks to Abdulrehman's unbeaten knock of 87 in 51 balls. Abdulwahab added 25, Hassan Ali 31, Abdulrafay 32 and Fawad 18. Majid took 2-33.
Jeddah Challengers, in response, could manage only 142 for 7. Rizwan was the only batsman to resist with an unbeaten 65 as Abubaker contributed 20 and Rafeeq 16. Waqas grabbed 4 for 35.
Universal prevailed over Rehab Riders by 15 runs. Universal piled up 169 for 5 with Tariq Siddiqui making 38, Naveed Sulehria 34, Rashid 32 not out and Shoaib 21. Omar took 3-28 and Tanvir 2-31. Rehab Riders was restricted to 154 for 7. Umar made 16, Ateeque 21 and Tanveer 62 not out. Naveed Sulehria took 2-24 and Shakeel 2-31.
Royal Brothers trounced Gujarat Eagles by 7 wickets. Gujarat Eagles posted 138 for 9. Sajjad compiled 25, Waqas 55 and Qalb 19. Faisal took 3-29 and Haneef 2-33. Royal Brothers got to the winning target of 139 for 3 in 98 balls as Waqar smashed 40 and Muneer remained unbeaten on 50.
Arcoma humbled INMA by 139 runs. Arcoma plundered 209 for 4, thanks to Kaleem's 63 and Abid Pervez's 57. The two added 128 in 69 balls for the opening stand. Shareef hit 32 and Ayaz 32 not out. Ekram took 3-38. INMA was bowled out for 70 as Wasi Rabbani grabbed 5 for 20.
New Young Stars defeated Mercedes Benz by 7 wickets. Mercedes Benz was restricted to 115 for 9 with only meaningful contribution coming from Saif (57 in 57 balls). Ibrar was the wrecker-in-chief as he scalped 4-18 and Imran took 2-16. New Young Stars reached 118 for 3 in 85 balls. Amir was the architect of the win with 73 off 44 balls as he stitched 77 with Qassim (26).
MFCC beat Zamil Cool Care by 45 runs. MFCC posted 168 for 9. Waseem scored 32, Mohsin 18, Zia 32, Babar 26 and Farhan 17. Imtiyaz took 2-26 and Shams 3-35. Zamil Cool Care was left stranded at 123. A.R. Patel notched 28 and Shams 24. Farook had 3-27, Arsalan 2-17, Mehmood 2-18 and Mohsin 2-28. Al-Mazroi XI was declared winner over QRCC on technical ground.
