Bowlers shine in SCC Morning T20 Cup

JEDDAH — Rising Stars, MFCC, GBest IDB, Gujarat Eagles, QRCC, Mercedes Benz, New Young Stars, Al-Mazroi-XI and Tata Motors won their respective matches in SCC Morning T20 Cup here.
The tournament is being sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC) and organized by the Western Province cricket Association.
Rising Stars defeated Harasco Baroom by 45 runs. Rising Stars piled up 170 for 7. Yasir scored 64 in 36 balls and Arfan 20. Ali took 3-22. Harsco Baroom, in reply, could manage only 125 for 8. Mansoor hit 32 and Hasanat 28. Adil claimed 4-11 and Kashif 2-23.
MFCC had the last laugh against Kabbani Cricket Group by 28 runs. MFCC produced 160 for 6 as Shafaqat hammered 49, Iftikhar 37 and Farhan 25. Imran took 2-14 and Luqman 2-25. Kabbani Cricket could get to only 132 for 8. Faisal R. hit 20, Fiaz 24, Faisal Q. 26 and Luqman 31. Shafaqat took 3-21.
Gujarat Eagles trounced Arcoma by 27 runs. Gujarat Eagles using the track first produced 145-6 as Chand stroked 29, Mohammed Arshad 20 and Qalb unbeaten 25. Aabid claimed 2-31 and Rafiullah 2-32. Arcoma could muster only 118-7. Nabeel hit 30. Aadil took 2-19.
New Young Stars won against Stallions by 24 runs. New Young Stars mustered 136 for 9 as Javed top scored with 48. Hassan Ali took 3-16 and Abdulrafeeq 3-29. Stallions, in reply, was restricted to 112 for 8 with Usman Ali scoring 21 and Waqas Munawwar 19. Abdullah got 2-23.
Mercedes Benz was declared winner against INMA. GBest IDB had the better of ADI-XI by 63 runs. GBest IDB racked up 167 for 9 with Jaffer making 48, Aleem 23 and Faqar 30. Nadeem took 3-30. ADI-XI was restricted to 104 for 7. Farhan batted well to make 40. Islam had 2-21 and Alam 2-16.
Tata Motors trounced Sadafco by 7 wickets. Sadafco was bowled out for 93. Ali Jan battled alone in the middle to score 40. Uzair was the most successful bowler with 4-16 and Sajid 3-28. Tata Motors reached the target of 95 for 3 in 78 balls through Noor Butt (36 not out) and Faisal 28. Ehtesham took 2-31.
QRCC had the last laugh against Ralco. QRCC was bowled out for 154. Zahid hit with 37, Naseer 28 and Sadiq Memon 24. Arsalan took 2-22. Ralco scored 128 for 4 as Asif hit 31, Arsalan 34 and Jahangir 23. Haseeb took 3 for 18. Al-Mazroi-XI defeated Jeddah Challengers by 8 wickets. Jeddah Challengers posted 131 for 7 as Rizwan hit 54 in 35 balls and Abubaker 18 as the two added 82. Ahmed grabbed 4-20 and Sufiyan 2-24.
Al-Mazroi-XI in pursuit got to the target of 133 for 2 in 72 balls. Farhan Patel smashed 48 and Faisal Patel was unbeaten on 60 off 28 balls with 3 sixes and 6 fours to win comfortably by 8 wickets with 6 overs as the two stitched 60 for the 2nd wicket.
