Young Stars and Lothers win JCL-Jotun Paints Cup openers

Young Stars and Lothers scored resounding wins as JCL-Jotun Paints Cup 2016 kicked off here recently.
The T10 day/night softball tournament is supported by Saudi Cricket Centre, sponsored by Jotun Paints, powered by Turkish Airlines and organized by Jeddah Cricket League (JCL).
AJVA Ford beat Wahid XI by 36 runs. AJVA Ford, opting to bat first, scored 133 for 2. Billal (35), Shams (66), Zeeshan (12) were among the runs. Rahat Javed and Majid took a wicket each. In response, Wahid XI was all out for 97. Rahat Javeed (31), Tahir Jaweed (20), Abid (15) and Saqawat (13) were among the contributors. Bilal took 3-25, while Muhajir, Sreeni Vijayan and Nasir took two wickets each. Billal was named the Indomie Man of the Match.
Al Max edged Ajool DSK by seven runs. Al Max posted 121 for 7 with Quraishi (34), Shah Faisal Khan (16) and Fasmy (12) contributing the runs. Yasser Kunhott and Abdul Wahid Ali claimed two wickets. In reply, Ajool DSK managed 114 for 6. Samiullah Ghani (48), Abdul Waheed (19), Abad Ali (17) and Sirajuddin Kabir (12) tried their best but fell short. Quraishi and Shah Faisal bagged two wickets each. Quraishi was adjudged the Indomie Man of the Match.
Penguins thumped EFS KKR by 42 runs. Jotun Penguins notched 151 for 4 as Usman Amjad hit 45, Ihsanullah 21, Waqas 19 and Awais Ashrif 13. Shahjahan scalped two wickets. In response, KKR was restricted to 109-6. Jahangir Alam (22) Thekkummuri (21), Amidab Shameer (17), Ziyat Hussain (15) scored the bulk of the runs. Waqar took two wickets. Uman Amjad was named the Indomie Man of the Match.
Young Stars routed JP Warriors by 7 wickets. JP Warriors scored 88 for 4 as Humayun scored 26 and Fouad 25. Wahid Ali, Usman Saeed, Aftab and Masood took a wicket each. Aamir Siddiqui (30) and Rafaqat Ali (29) took Young Stars home in 8.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Imran bagged two wickets. Aamir Siddiqui was the adjudged the Indomie Man of the Match.
Lothers thrashed AIC by 87 runs. AIC won the toss and put Lothers into bat.
Lothers posted 172 runs for 2 as Ashraf hit 67, Rinaws 68 and Badusha 12.
Abdulahad Hashmi claimed one wicket. AIC team could manage only 85 for 6.
Nadir (21), Faraz (17) and Irfan (10) were its main scorers. Zawahir took two wickets. Rinaws was the named the Indomie Man of the Match.
OMD Tuskers downed Deccan Youth by six Wickets. Deccan Youth scored 93 for 6. Omer (31), Hidayath (15) and Naveed Ali (13) were among the runs. Mazhar Iqbal claimed 4-9. In response, OMD Tuskers achieved the target in 8.3 overs for the loss of four wickets. Yashik Alangadan scored 46, Ramees Rafeeq 17 and Shafeeq Saleem 13. Hidayat scalped two wickets. Mazhar Iqbal picked up the Indomie Man-of-the-Match honor.
In other matches Arcoma Crown thumped Alliance by 47 runs and Karachi Kings humbled DTT Challengers by 8 wickets.
