Khurram, Hasanat and Yashiq dazzle in WPCA

Khurram Karamat's ton powered Crown Steel to win against AOT, Hasanat's ton paved the way for Harsco Baroom to down Jotun Paints, while Al-Saudi XI remained undefeated beating IDB by 12 runs in the WPCA Premier Tournament.
Al-Saudi XI defeated IDB by 12 runs. Al-Saudi piled up 260 for 9 through Mohammed Nadeem (47), Mazhar Abbasi (33), Aqeel (36) and Nazeer Farooqui (27). Mohammed Farooq claimed 3-59, Sufiyan 2-23, Usman Gulab 2-52 and Irfan Shah 1.
IDB, in reply, lost a few wickets early when Rahat Ali went for 19. Mohammed Farooq then compiled 56 to add 137 with Fahad (59) to reach 223. It lost wickets in a heap again to be left stranded at 248 as Irfan Shah added 26. Nadeem Saad grabbed 2-55, Noman 2-29, Mazhar Abbasi 2-45, Mohammed Nadeem 2-45 and Fouad 1.
Crown Steel thrashed AOT by 6 wickets. AOT posted 229 after early setbacks. Rafeeq Aslam hit 47, Faisal Mehmood 38, Waqas 20, Maqsood 21 and Naeem Shah 22. Murtuza was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 28, Waheed Khan claimed 3-48, Anwaar Chandi 2-43 and Waqas Ausaf 1.
Crown Steel raced to 231 for 4 in 121 balls as rampaging Khurram Karamat hit 12 boundaries and 9 sixes to remain unbeaten on 119. He first added 56 with Shafeeq Ahmed (19), 71 with Anwaar Chandi (24), 61 with Javed Iqbal (9) and then 42 with Nadeem Amin (27). Rafeeq Aslam claimed 2-40, while Qaiser Lateef and Imran Yusuf picked up a wicket each.
Afternoon T20
Five matches took place with Nestle Milo, Marine Services, OMD Tuskers, Waqas Malik and Harsco Baroom winning their respective matches.
Marine Services edged AMI Juffali on technical ground. AMI Juffali posted 141 for 9 with Asif hitting 44 and Mustafa 19. Pervez Baig bagged 2-13, Yasser 2-11 and Shakeel 2-15. Marine Services was on course for a comprehensive win with 139 for 5 in 76 balls just 3 short of victory when AMI Juffali forfeited the match. Ahmed scored 28, Pervez Baig 22, Kashif 30 and Moiz 28. Jawwad took 2-9.
Nestle Milo had the last laugh against AGA by 4 wickets. AGA was bowled out for 112. Riyadh resisted with 35 and Noor with 32. Irfan Alvi scalped 3-19, Adalat 3-31 and Bilal Malik 3-16. Nestle Milo needed 104 balls to reach 115 for the loss of 6 wickets. Sher Bahadur blasted 28, Bilal Malik 37 not out and Ehsan Noni 16 not out. Shad took 2-23 and Jan 2-21.
OMD Tuskers humbled Awesome XI by 8 wickets. Awesome XI scored 144 for 9 as Shakir top scored with 44. Yashiq Alangad took 3-17 and Tufail 2-29. OMD Tuskers reached 145 for 2 as Yashiq Alangad hammered an unbeaten 61, Khadiry 42 and Mahesh 31.
Waqas Malik XI edged past UCC by 4 runs. Waqas piled up 160 for 8 through Shahid (36), Rana Haroon (41) and Tauseef (25). Yasir Ameen took 2-15 and Ahmed 2-20. UCC was restricted to 156 for 9. Shahnawaz Khan top scored with 52. Abid claimed 4-33, Zahoor 2-14 and Tauseef 2-36.
Harsco Baroom trounced Jotun Paints by 8 wickets. Jotun Paints produced 171 for 6. Shafeeq Rafeeq smashed 49, Arif 57 and Umar 34. Ali took 2-20. Harsco Baroom was home (175) for the loss of 2 wickets as Hasanat Ahmed cracked a ton (116 not out in 62 balls). Imran Nasir added 19 and Azam 14.
