Humayun blasts century

JEDDAH — Humayun blasted a century in the SCC Premier Cup, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre and organized by WPCA.
Al-Saudi-XI, Crown and Jeddah Youth won their respective matches in Premier Cup. In the SCC Afternoon Cup, Awesome-XI, Lothers, Waqas-XI, Al-Safri, Nestle Milo and Jotun Paints recorded victories.
Jeddah Youth defeated Hyderabad Strikers by 6 wickets. Hyderabad Strikers posted 171-6. Irfan scored 25, Waseem 53 in 31 balls and Anwar Khan 44. Usman Gulab grabbed 3-30 and Sami 2-41.
Jeddah Youth, in reply, suffered early setbacks but Anas Malik anchored by hitting 60 in 49 balls. He first added 77 with Osama Amjed (52 in 25 balls) and then 63 with Mudassir Gulab (23 not out) to get to 174-4 in 113 balls.
Crown Steel downed AOT by 4 wickets. AOT opted to bat first and managed 160. Faisal Mehmood contributed 25, Aqeel 15, Maqsood 16, Asim Qasim 20, Naeem Shah 18 and Qaiser Lateef 38 not out. Shoaib Ali grabbed 3-22 and Murtuza 2-32.
Crown Steel reached 161-6 in 102 balls. Shoaib Ali hit a gritty unbeaten 73 in 39 balls with 10 fours and a six, Waqas Ausaf 33 and Muteen 16. Qaiser Lateef took 2-29.
Al-Saudi-XI thrashed Islamic Development Bank (IDB) by one wicket. IDB began well with Rahat Ali Choudhry hitting 56 in 39 balls and Irfan Shah 54. Later IDB lost wickets in a heap as it slumped from 167-5 to 185 all out. Adil grabbed 3-22, Sajid Saeed 2-36 and Munzir 3-46.
Al-Saudi-XI reached 188-9 in 116 balls. Humayun hammered 103 in 59 balls with 13 fours and 2 sixes as he added 95 for the first wicket with Faisal (35). Hashim Khan scalped 3-34 and Zahid Anwar 3-29 to run through the batting to reduce it to 179-9 from 148-1.
SCC Afternoon Cup
Lothers thrashed Contraco by 98 runs. Lothers piled up 163-5 as Yasar hit an unbeaten 82 in 44 balls with 6 fours and a six. He added 87 with Shibu (37). Adarsh made 17. Amjad took 3-32.
Contraco was bundled out for 65. Aqeel (12) was the only batsman to cross the double digit. Fazil (3-16), Siraj (3-19) and Shibu (3-25) were the wicket-takers.
Waqas Malik-XI won against Fuchs Alhamrani by 4 wickets. Fuchs Alhamrani slipped to 123-9 from 107-3. Nasir Khan hammered 52 in 41 balls and Nazaish 29. Tauseef scalped 3-18, Junaid 2-19 and Abdulrazzaq 2-30.
Waqas-XI reached 127-6 in 95 balls. Zahoor scored 29, Rana Haroon 41 and Tauseef 14. Mohsin took 2-12.
Al-Safri trounced Nesma Holding by 29 runs. Safri-XI tallied 134-6 as Rehan stroked 32, Muneeb Anwer 25 and Waseeq Sherwani 27. Saeed scalped 2-20.
Nesma Holding was bundled out for 105. Jawwad (34) and Ben (16) began well but Waseeq Sherwani (3-21) and Shehzad (4-15) reduced Nesma to 59-5 and then 83-9. Saqib resisted with 20.
Nestle Milo had the better of OMD Tuskers by 9 wickets. OMD Tuskers was restricted to 94-8 with only skipper Yashiq making 22. Imran Sarwar was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 17, Ehsan Noni took 2-6 and Bilal Iqbal 2-19.
Nestle Milo chased 96 for the loss of Azfer Sherazi (7) as Fayyaz hammered an unbeaten 64 in 29 balls with 3 sixes and 5 fours and Fahad remained unbeaten on 20.
Awesome-XI defeated favorite UCC by 20 runs. Awesome racked up 173-7 riding on Asad's 78 in 38 balls with 2 sixes and 8 fours. Khalil hit 26, Abdulrehman 22 and Farhad 16. Amir Mughal scalped 2-33 and Yasser Ameen 2-37.
UCC managed 153-9. Raja Mudassir scored 30 and Ahmed Faraz 55 in 27 balls. Ahmed took 3-18 and Naveed Dadabhoy 2-36.
Jotun Paints humbled Marine Services by 21 runs. Jotun Paints put on 148-8. Shabbir scored 74 in 48 balls with 9 boundaries, Shafeeq 27 and Mustafa 17. Yasin grabbed 3-25, Akram 3-43 and Majed 2-30.
Marine Services lost wickets early (36-4) but Naseer compiled 40 as it was restricted to 117. Zahid scalped 3-21, Yusuf 2-8, Shabbir 2-21.
