JEDDAH — Friends XI defeated Jeddah Youth as AOT had the better of IDB in the SCC Premier T20 sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center here.
SCC Premier T20
Friends XI defeated Jeddah Youth by 7 wickets. Jeddah Youth posted 157 for 5 with contributions from Junaid (25), Mudassar (39), Usman Gulab (37) and Anas Malik (34). Umair took 3-44. Friends XI reached 160 for 3 in 88 balls.
Saleem remained unbeaten on 73 off 43 balls. He added 65 for the 1st wicket with Umair (28) and 78 with Abdullah Essa (48). Aftab Malik claimed 2-44.
In the second encounter, AOT downed IDB by 32 runs. AOT piled up 165 for 8 through Ilyas (52), Naeem Shah (34), Maqsood (27) and Faisal Mahmood (18).
Hashim Khan grabbed 4-31, while Gulam Mustafa had 2-19 and Farooq 1-31.
Junaid Hashim had 4 victims behind the stumps. IDB could manage only 133 for 9. Khalid Butt made 35 and Mustafa 45. Faisal took 3-27 and Imran Yusuf 2-22.
Crown Steel thrashed Hyderabad Strikers by 72 runs. Crown Steel racked up 209 for 5 as Khurram hammered 32, Anwar Chandi 41, Javed Iqbal 57 not out and Khokar 25 not out. Zohair scalped 3-22. Hyderabad Strikers was restricted to 137 for 9 as Shoaib Ali scalped 5 wickets for 6 runs. Wasim hit 59 and Irfan Ayazuddin 37. Riyaz took 2-32.
SCC Afternoon T20
Waqas Malik XI beat AMI Juffali by 3 wickets. AMI Juffali was bowled out for 103 with meaningful contributions coming from Imran (39) and Asif (18). Danish took 2-16 and Tauseef 2-17. Waqas Malik reached 109 for 7 in 95 balls. Rana Haroon scored 35 and Tauseef 19. Usman Mehar claimed 2-23 and Usman Ghafour 2-31.
Contraco had the last laugh against Thales group by 5 wickets. Thales Group posted 147 for 9 as Wahab stroked 47, Imran 16 and Sohail 21. Shakeel took 3-29, Amjad 2-23 and Yaseen 2-38. Contraco reached the target of 149 for 5 in 102 balls. Amir scored 27, Shahbaz 32, Amricisvad 17 and Amjad 23. Anwar took 3-34.
Fuchs Alhamrani trounced Zultrack by 3 wickets. Zultrack posted 181 for 5 as Mohsin hit 21, Ijaz Khan 21, Obaidurrehman 61 and Qaim Khan 24. Saqib took 3-28. Fuchs reached 183 for 7 and qualify for the quarterfinals. Khoban Ayan smashed 48 in 16 balls while Irfan Anjum made 20, Nazaish 28, Nasir Khan 45 and Mohsin 17. Obaidurrehman grabbed 3-39 and Abdul Waheed 2-40.
OMD Tuskers prevailed over Nesma Holding by 7 wickets. Nesma Holding produced 171 for 5 after losing Ben first ball. Jawad scored 16, Rana 56, Sheraz 35 not out and Saidul 37. Shafiq took 2-17 and Mahesh 2-29. OMD Tuskers reached 175 for 3. Skipper Yashik Alangad smashed 68 and Shamsuddin 66 not out.
