IDB, Al-Saudi and Friends on top

JEDDAH — IDB, Al-Saudi-XI and Friends-XI emerged winners in the SCC Premier Cup, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center, here recently.
Al-Saudi-XI beat Jeddah Youth by 3 wickets. Jeddah Youth posted 140-8 thanks to Junaid (42) and Usman Gulab (46 not out). Yahya added 21. Sajid took 3-16, Adil 2-27 and Munzir 2-34. Al-Saudi reached 141 for 7 in 116 balls. Fouad hit a quick-fire 23, Zeeshan 23, Aqeel 16, Faisal 17 and Nadeem Saad 22. Usman Gulab took 2-35.
Friends-XI edged AOT by 8 runs. Friends piled up 164 for 6 as Saleem scored 42, Nasir 30, Abdullah Essa 25 and Hassan Malik 23. Tayyab grabbed 2-18, Kashif 2-29 and Imran Yusuf 2-30. AOT was bowled out for 156. Maqsood scored 19, Asim 37 and Qaiser Lateef 35. Zeeshan took 3 for 20.
IDB thrashed Crown Steel by 6 wickets. Crown Steel scored 177 for 7. Shafeeq stroked 41 and Anwaar Chandi 31. Imran Azam added 35 and Tasleem 22 not out. Mustafa scalped 3-23 and Zahid Anwer 2-23.
Junaid Hashim took 4 victims behind the stumps. IDB, in chase, was given a rousing start by Rahat Ali Choudhry, who hammered 66 off 27 balls as he added 90 with Khalid Butt (30) for the first wicket. Mohammed Farook then smashed an unbeaten 50 in 25 balls and Junaid Hashim compiled 24 after four quick wickets. Ijaz Sagheer scalped 3-32.
SCC Afternoon T20 Cup
Fuchs beat Lothers by 4 wickets. Lothers was bowled out for 143 as Mushtaq hit 50 and Adarsh 45 after being down 39 for 3. Saqib took 4-30, Mohsin 2-28 and Nasir Khan 2-31. Fuchs Alhamrani had a disastrous start with 40-5 when prolific Khoban Ayan blasted 67 in 28 balls and Shahid remained unbeaten on 15 to get to the target of 144 for 6. Shibu grabbed 3-24 and Fazil 2-32.
Zultrack thumped Contraco by 110 runs. Zultrack racked up 214 for 7. Mohsin (34) and Omer Mukhtar (47) were among the runs. Aijaz Khan slammed 51 and Khadim 29. Shakeel grabbed 4-21. Contraco was restricted to 104-8. Shahbaz hit 51 and Yaseen 16. Omer Khan scalped 2-13.
Nestle Milo defeated Al-Safri by 7 wickets. Safri lost wickets early to be tottering at 55-5. Rehan scored 20 and Moon Kamran 43 to take the total to 147. Imran Sarwar picked up 4-34, Irfan 3-23 and Adalat 2-30. Nestle Milo was home (148) for the loss of 3 wickets as Ali Nawaz belted 43, Aijaz Butt 39 and Imran Sarwar 44.
In other matches Digital Technology AOT defeated OMD Tuskers by 4 wickets; Jotun Paints had the last laugh against Awesome-XI by 3 wickets; UCC edged APF by one run.
