Crown Steel vs. IDB in WPCA Premier final today

JEDDAH — Javed Iqbal's fine all-round performance helped Crown Steel set up WPCA Premier 35-over Tournament final against IDB here Friday.
IDB trounced Al-Saudi XI by 19 runs. IDB, opting to bat first, piled up 245. Khalid Butt scored 26 and Rahat Ali Choudhry 17. Gulam Mustafa was run out for 51 in 62 balls as he added 98 for the 5th wicket with Fahad (58) after it was reduced to 73 for 4. Sufiyan added 26. Mohammed Nadeem grabbed 3-39, Fouad Shams 2-35, Noman 2-38 and Mazhar Abbasi one.
Al-Saudi XI, in chase, started with a 49-run partnership between Kamran (14) and Fouad Shams (31). Mohsin scored 16. Mazhar Abbasi then hammered 85 in 58 balls studded with a six and 7 fours, while Noman added 25 to get to 226. Sufiyan took 3-33, Gulam Mustafa 3-39, Waleed 2-27, while a wicket each was claimed by Fahad and Hashim Khan. Zafar Miyan and Kashif officiated the game.
Crown Steel thrashed ALS Warriors by 183 runs. Crown Steel racked up 271 for 8. It got off to a rousing start with Shafeeq Ahmed smashing 71 in 70 balls and Murtuza stroking 42. Javed Iqbal contributed 24, Nadeem Amin 32, Shoaib Ali 34 and Imran Azam 38 not out. Shahbaz took 3-39, Abdulaleem 3-34, while Haider and Amjad bagged a wicket each.
ALS Warriors, in reply, crashed for 47-8 before being sent packing for 88. Furqan (20) and Shahbaz (18) were the main contributors. Javed Iqbal bowled exceptionally well to claim 4-4. Ijaz Sagheer took 3-20, Shoaib Ali 2-19 and Murtuza one. Sherwani and Imran were the match officials.
Afternoon T20
Lothers, APF, Fuchs Alhamrani, UCC, Waqas Malik XI and Jotun Paint emerged winners in the division.
Lothers thrashed OMD Tuskers by 86 runs. Lothers piled up 176 for 8. Yasar scored 46 as he added 77 with Adarsh (39). Suraj hit 35 and Fazil 24 not out. Mohammed scalped 4-36 and Shafeeq Ambu 3-23.
OMD Tuskers, in response, was restricted to 90 for 8. Yashik Alangad hit 30 and Khadiry 19. Pradeep took 3 for 5.
APF beat Nestle Milo by 3 wickets to hand it its first defeat. Nestle Milo was restricted to 131 for 7 as Abdullah Zahid scored 16, Ehsan Noni 48, Fahad 16 and Afsar 21. Sadiq took 2-18 and Yasir 2-25.
APF, in reply, began well with 66 with Ali Ansar making 43 and Gulzar 28. Later Siddique hit 30 to achieve victory with 132 for 7.
Fuchs Alhamrani got the better of AGA by one wicket. AGA posted 163. Ali scored 47, Shahid Khan 33, Muzammil 15 and Riaz 19. Nasir got 3-31, Wasim 2-24 and Saqib 2-41.
Alhamrani reached 166 for 9 on the last ball. Nasir Khan scored 17, Nazaish 17, Mansoor 34 and Saqib 39. Ali took 3-12 and Shabbir Khan 2-20.
UCC had the last laugh against Zultrack by 7 wickets. Zultrack was bowled out for 178. Mohsin hit 42, Ejaz 16, Omer 20, Subaiyyal 27, Muzaffar 19 and Wahid Khan 15. Amir Mughal took 2-18, Yasser Amin 2-28 and Shahnawaz 2-41.
UCC was home (183) for the loss of 3 wickets in 107 balls. Khubab hit 32 to add 51 with Ali (17). Shahnawaz Khan hit match-winning 67 not out in 28 balls to stitch together 101 with Sarfaraz Riyaz (20 not out). Obaid took 2-30.
In other matches, Waqas Malik won against Harsco Baroom by 54 runs and Jotun Paints prevailed over Azizya Elegant by 8 wickets.
