Run feast in EPCA tourney

DAMMAM — SKFCC, SAQ Hunters, Al-Ghamdi Kanoo, AGE Gyptech and Honda came out on top in the Premier Division tournament organized by Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA).
SKFCC thrashed SCPCO by 8 wickets. Put into bat, SCPCO posted 302 for 9 in 40 overs. Its opening batsmen Riaz (71) and Shahzad (108) put on 144 runs for the first wicket in 18 overs. Waseem added 37. Wasim Malik and Sohail claimed two wickets each for SKFCC.
In reply, the openers Irfan Farooqui scored 93 in 54 balls. Wasim Malik slammed an excellent unbeaten century (132). Noman added 46 as SKFCC scored 305 for 2 in 37.1 overs.
SAQ Hunters beat Black Stone by 6 wickets. Batting first, Black Stone was bundled out for 176 in 29 overs. Adnan Noori was the lone batsmen to score 37. None of the other batsmen were able to tackle the bowling of Amjad Iqbal, who was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 30 in five overs. Abdulqayumn scored 69 and Wasim Arif Butt 42 as the Hunters scored 180-4 in 25 overs.
Al-Ghamdi Kanoo downed Marooj Rawan by 39 runs. Al-Ghamdi Kanoo put on 383-3 in 40 overs. It was a feast to watch Bilal Shabbir (101), Amjad Butt (80), Ahsan Mehboob (76) and Abdul Naheed (75) score at ease. Shahid claimed 2 wickets for 71.
Marooj Rawan could score only 343 for 8 in reply. Wahid Malik blasted 109, Sawan 88 and Ajmal 75. Bilal Shabbir scalped 4 for 70 and Raheel 2 wickets.
All-rounder Zeeshan Afzal claimed 5 wickets and scored 76 to hand AGE Gyptech a 4-wicket win over Pak Saudi. Pak Saudi scored 264-9 in 40 overs. Muhammad Shafiq (81) and Mohammed Shafiq Ch (43) batted well. Zeeshan Afzal picked up 5 for 40. AGE Gyptech found it difficult to score against Ghani, who took 4 wickets and restricted AGE to 45 for 4 in 7.4 overs. Aftab Magry (98) and Zeeshan Afzal (76) later took the total to 180 for 5. Age Gyptech reached 265-6 in 37 overs. Ghani scalped 5 for 65.
Honda eased past Naqi Strikers by 355 runs. Batting first, Honda scored an unbelievable score of 481-5 in 40 overs. Afaq Khan blasted 183 off 94 balls and Mohsin Rajput 113 in 75 balls. Suhaib Hilal claimed 2 for 60. Naqi Strikers was bundled out for 83 in 22 overs. Moiz Imran Chaudhry claimed 5 for 12 in 6.2 overs.
