Shajeullah, Abbas & Bukhari shine

DAMMAM — Shajeullah of Al-Bawardi, Haider Abbas of Khobar Badshah and Zuhair Bukhari of Gyptech Dolphins excelled in the MoneyGram-sponsored Cricket Ke Badhshah T20 Tournament, organized by EPCA under the patronage of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC).
In the Premier Division matches, Pak Saudi shocked defending T20 champion, Sikander Farooqui CC. Batting first, SKFCC was bowled out for 130 runs with the only notable contribution coming from Mohsin Mohammed (64). Pak Saudi's Ghazanfer claimed 3-24, Anwar Ahmed 3-24 and Imran 2-23. Pak Saudi's opening pair Shahid (52) and Imran (48) batted with ease to steer the team to victory by 8 wickets.
Zuhair Bukhari's unbeaten hundred could not save Gyptech Dolphins as they lost to Al-Dossary (Kanoo) by 24 runs. Al-Dossary 234-7 (Munawar 80, Naheed 59, Tahir 36, Karthik 33; Fahad 2-34, Haziq 2-34) beat Gyptech Dolphins 210-8 (Zuhair Bukhari 111 not out; Naheed 3-46).
In a close contest, AMPS Tamimi Friends — EPCA First Division T20 and Main League champion now promoted to Premier Division — went down fighting by just two runs to much fancied Nawab Tigers Bindelamah CC. Nawab Tigers 196-6 (Tanveer 48, Sohrab 64, Mohsin 42; Salmanuddin 2-35) beat AMPS Tamimi Friends 194-9 (Aqeel 44, Wasey 71; Aamir Sohail 3-48, Sohrab 3-25).
Superb batting by Qaiser Muqeem and Asher Ali helped Gulf Steel score an easy win over Al-Ghamdi CC. Put into bat first, Al-Ghamdi scored 149-7 with only Ansar (61) putting up a substantial score. In reply, Gulf Steel reached the target in 12.4 overs with six wickets in hand. For Al-Ghamdi Ahsan and Bilal Butt took two wickets each.
Rizwan Qayyum's all-round display guided Al-Tuwairqi to an easy win over Marooj Rawan. Marooj Rawan 171 (Naveed Nomi 59, Waheed Malik 48; Khawar Sohail 3-19, Athar 3-23, Rizwan 2-32) lost to Al-Tuwairqi 172-4 (Khawar 35, Abbas 42, Rizwan 50; Shahid Siddique 2-23).
Gulf Link TFT scored a huge win over Team Abbasi. Gulf Link TFT 234-4 (Kashif Meher 50, Usman 70, Bilal 65) beat Team Abbasi 116 (Muteurrahman 38; Kashif 4-20).
In the First Division matches, Shajeullah of Al-Bawardi scored an unbeaten 153 in just 65 balls with 12 sixes and 12 fours. Batting first, Al-Bawardi reached 256-2. Parvez Khan contributed 42 and later bowled out EI Plus Arabia. EI Plus Arabia 179 (Saleem Dar 51, Ziyad 57; Parvez 4-34, Shoaib 3-6).
Haider Abbas' scintillating century handed Khobar Badshah a huge victory. Khobar Badshah 240-3 (Haider 100, Saqib 51 not out, Ali Rizwan 34 not out, Asif 30; Saif 2-44) beat Toya YoungStars 150-9 (Rizwan 50, Tahir 30; Muqeem 4-28, Ali Rizwan 3-17).
Mohammed Mohsin's 4-13 helped Bindelamah Adpco rout McDermott Arabia. McDermott 46 (Imran Noor 2-3, Sadiq 2-6) lost to Bindelamah Adpco made 47 in just 3.2 deliveries (Nabeel Butt 29 not out).
Harley-Davidson scored a hard-fought win over Young Guns. Harley-Davidson 176-5 (Arshad Mahmood 61, Tahir Hafeez 32) beat Young Guns 163-9 (Usman Khan 54, Saad 31; Anwar Khan 3-34, Faisal Saleem 2-36).

Ashes Bindelamah 180-6 (Kishor Rajan 73, Shanavas 49; Renjith 2-37) lost to Bindelamah Rockers 181-4 (Biju Viswan 56 not out, Abhilash 42 not out, Imran 32).
Kashmir-XI 237-5 (Waseem 77, Shafi 36, Khalid 38; Faisal and Umair 2 wickets each) beat Kings-XI 184-5 (Rizwan 70, Umair 60) by 53 runs.
Eastern Arabia 137 (Imran 43, Tawkeer 32; Kannan 5-16, Shakeel 2-28) lost to Deccan Challengers 141-3 (Azeem 46 not out, Manu 27 not out; Imran 2-25) by seven wickets.
Hyderabad Green 186-7 (Babar Aslam 45, Ijaz 41; Moizuddin 2-27) beat SAB MiddleEast 170-8 (Kashif 45; Arsalan 2-31, Abdullah 2-26) by 16 Runs.
Team Arabia 151 (Alex 33; Raja 3-30, Imran 3-23, Shafqat 2-35) lost to DHL Express 153-3 (Shafqat 53, Raja 37, Mehboob 35; Adarsh 2-21) by seven wickets.
ENERCO 199 (Abubakar 79; Azeem 4-24, Shafi 2-26) beat KFUMP 157 (Hafeez 35; Qadir 3-22) by 42 runs. — SG
