All set for finals at EPCA tourney

DAMMAM — Sate will face Bin Delamah ADPCO in the First Division final, while Pak Saudi will cross swords with Honda in the Premier Division final of the EPCA MoneyGram CKB 2015 Tournament, sponsored by MoneyGarm Money Transfer under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) here.

In the first semifinal of the First Division, Sate defeated Al-Bawardi by 74 runs. Sate, batting first, piled up 191. Murad Khan made 34 and Safiullah 54 in 33 balls, while Wasay contributed 33 and a quickfire 17 came from Gulam Mujtaba.

Osman Ghani took 4 for 37, while Tarim and Shijil claimed 2 wickets each.
Al-Bawardi while chasing lost wickets at regular intervals to be stranded at 117. Shajiullah scored 25, Pervez 16 and Tarim 25.

Bin Delamah won against Indomie by one run. Bin Delamah batted first and racked up 176 through Aqeel Azad (40), Asghar Altaf (29), Mohammed Ijaz (28) and Sumair Abbasi (22). Srikant Dilip took 3 wickets and Rizwan Shahzad 2. Indomie Young Stars, in reply, was stranded at 175 to lose by one run. Usman Ali hit 24, Ali Raza 37 and Aftab Haider 30.

In the Premier Division, Pak Saudi trounced Nawab Tigers Bin Delamah by 6 wickets in the first semifinal. Nawab Tigers Bin Delamah batted first to post 157 through Mohsin Nawaz (44), Sohrab (16), Ashraf (22). Imran took 2 wickets and Asif 3. Pak Saudi, in reply, achieved the winning target of 158 in the 19th over to win by 6 wickets. Imran made 21, Ihsanullah 40, Asif 25 and Gazanfar 36 and Shoaib 24. Sohrab had figures of 2-20.

In the second semis, Honda won against Marooj Rawan by 28 runs. Honda, batting first, racked up 179 through Kashif Riaz (25), Imran Choudhry (37) and Afaq Ahmed (41). Ajmal and Sawm Azam took 3 wickets each.

Marooj Rawan, in reply, could manage only 151 and lost the match by 28 runs. Rizwan compiled 31, Asif 26, Naveed Nomi 42 and Ajmal 26. Kshif Riaz claimed 2-25. — SG
