L'usine and Abana registered thumping victories in the second round of SAIB Cricket Tournament here.
The tournament is sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
Huraymala League
L'usine defeated Lahore Badshah White by 86 runs. L'usine, batting first, piled up 228 for the loss of 6 wickets. Rustam Ali played a brilliant knock of 82. Azam added 47 and Haris 21. Adnan picked up 2 wickets. In reply, Lahore Badshah White managed only 142. Safian was the top scorer with 33.
Sulaiman XI humbled Fonte Star by 3 wickets. Fonte Star put 154 on the scoreboard. Shakeel picked up 4 wickets, Mudassar 3 and Ansar 2. Sulaiman XI reached the target in 18.3 overs. Shakeel blasted 67 and Mudassar 25.
Cricket Samarwa registered a 41-run victory over Super CC. Cricket Samarwa collected 173. Aasif Shaikh played a sensible knock of 61, Aamir helped with 41. Jameel and Waqas grabbed 2 wickets each. Super could manage only 132. Shahid and Mudassar hit 22 each. Hamza claimed 2 wickets, while Zafar and Tanveer bagged 3 each.
Riyadh Fighters defeated Sialkot XI by 22 runs. Sialkot XI scored 217 for 6. Zahid showed his form with 81 and Yasir smashed 76. Taqi scalped 2 wickets. Riyadh Fighters fought hard but was restricted to 195. Imran hit 50 and Nusrat cracked 34. Zahid bowled well for his 3 wickets and Khalid grabbed 2.
Diriyah League
Abana thrashed Youngsters XI by 6 wickets. Youngsters XI was all out for 153. Abdul Rehman and Fawad top scored with 26 each. Shahid bagged 3 wickets and Abid 2. Abana chased down the target in 18.1 overs. Shahbaz lead the chase with 66 and Shahid added 38. Anis picked up 3 wickets.
United Lions lost to Habib Telecom by 17 runs. Habib Telecom notched 176. Zahid scored 53, Hasan 30 and Haris 37. Vaibah claimed 2 wickets. United Lions was bundled out for 159 in 17.5 overs. Sarfaraz hit 51 and Harisha 33. Qasim and Hasan grabbed 3 wickets each.
In an epic thriller, Smashers edged Professional Creation by 2 runs. Smashers posted 183. Talal smashed 78 and Fahim 53. Professional Creation could score only 181. Fahim bagged 2 wickets.
Erad Travels thrashed Hara United by 8 wickets. Hara United scored 155. Hashim and Unzala grabbed 4 wickets each. Erad Travels won the match in 13.4 overs. Ghazanfar cracked 66 and Waqas 48.
King Lions defeated All Blues by 8 wickets. All Blues was all out for 117. Abrar (35) and Ahsan (30) were the leading scorers. Joel and Naeem took 2 wickets each. King Lions rushed to the target in 9 overs. Rasal (38) and Joel (23) took the team to the finish line.
