Amer Holidays opens American Express T20 with win

RIYADH — Riyadh Cricket Association has started American Express T20 Tournament following the successful completion of Champions League. Tariq Javed, RCA president and EC chairman of Saudi Cricket Center, inaugurated the tournament, which is sponsored by American Express.
Al-Kharaj League
In a thrilling contest, Amer Holidays defeated Riyadh Aces by 5 runs. Batting first, Amer Holidays posted 181 for the loss of 6 wickets. Samiullah top-scored with 55, while Asif and Arslan scored 33 each. Farman picked up 3 wickets. In reply, Riyadh Aces was restricted to 176. Sheheryar with 46 and Aijaz 43 were in good touch. Imran and Saeed shared 3 wickets each, while Hafeez grabbed 2.
Falcons lost to Lahore Badshah by 4 wickets. Falcons scored 153 as the match was reduced to 17 overs a side. Asif scored 43. Imran took 3, while Nazir and Akram bagged 2 each. Lahore Badshah was home in 15.4 overs for the loss of six wickets. Imran hit 45 and Yasir 44. Ismail and Manzoor claimed 2 wickets each.
Diriyah League
Delhi Dare Devils trounced Habib Telecom by 9 runs. Delhi Dare Devils collected 170 runs. Ramzan scored a promising 72. In reply, Habib Telecom was restricted to 161. Waqas scored 54 and Ibrar 52.
Al-Momen lost to Abana by 33 runs. Abana, batting first, posted a total of 202 runs. Shahbaz smashed 64, while Tanveer added 28. Al-Momen was all out for 169 in 18.5 overs. Kamran took 4 and Abu Baker 3.
Seham flattened Sahara Net by 99 runs. Seham collected 237. Noor (92), Fayaz (43) and Waseem (32) were among the runs. Sahara Net was all out for 138. Rizwan top-scored with 69, while Jawad made 47. Ali and Gulzar took 2 wickets each.
Youngsters-XI lost to Black Caps by 50 runs. Black Caps scored 188 with Kashif scoring 53 and Sanaullah 43. Anees took 3 wickets and Mahmood 2. Youngsters-XI fumbled to 138. Abdul Rehman scored 37, while Rashid and Saifullah added 29 each. Irfan took 4 wickets, while Sajid and Sanaullah picked up 2 each.
Phoenix defeated Saudi Zaas by 34 runs. Phoenix racked up 197. Haseeb scored 45 and Raja 29. Saudi Zaas scrabbled to 163. Suhail top-scored with 60 and Shoaib added 22. Ghufran took 3 wickets.
In another thriller, Professionals Creation lost to Naz by 4 runs. Naz posted 154 as Faisal and Farshad scored 38 and 30 runs, respectively. Naushaad, Dileep and Zubair claimed 2 wickets each. Professionals Creation batting collapsed at the last moment. Zubair hit 40. Shakeel took 3 wickets, while Aqeel and Shahid bagged 2 each.
Rising Stars thumped Brothers-XI by 62 runs. Rising Stars compiled 252 for the loss of 6 wickets. Bilal top scored with 78 and Tahir hit 35. Brothers-XI was restrained to 190. Zahid picked up 3 wickets, while Bilal and Rizwan bagged 2 each.
