RCA begins Saturday League

RIYADH — Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) started a new tournament under the name of Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz Saturday League.
The tournament will be played as a single league and matches will be played on Saturdays. In all, 15 teams are participating in the event which are divided into three pools of 5 teams each.
After a complete washout of first round, round two witnessed some intense and interesting matches. Shuraim outplayed Indian Strikers in the opening match. Indian Strikers was bowled for a meager 141, thanks to an exceptional bowling spell by Shahnawaz, who picked up 6 wickets for just 11 runs. Aneesh and Satrair showed some resistance with 34 and 32 runs, respectively.
Shuraim rushed to the target in 14 overs. Rizwan scored 58 not out to ensure a comfortable win.
Elm defeated TBCC by 5 wickets. TBCC scored 159 in its innings. Salman picked up 4 wickets. Raheel and Yasir got 3 and 2 wickets, respectively. Elm chased down the target in the 17th over. Rizwan scored 70, Noman 21, Yasir 20 and Raheel made 21.
KFSH Blues defeated Netmetric by 4 wickets. Batting first, Netmetric posted 188 runs. Openers Asif and Shaik scored 97 and 46, respectively. Sohail claimed 2 wickets. KFSH Blues hit the target in the last over for the loss of 6 wickets. Bilal scored 46 and Khurram 37.
L'usine Cricket Club registered a 4-run victory over Brothers XI. Thanks to brilliant fifties by Yasif (69) and Rustam (55), L'usine posted a decent total of 194 for the loss of 4 wickets. Ali and Talal contributed with 29 and 22, respectively. Brothers XI fought hard but managed only 190. Mubashir got 3 wickets. Adeel took 2 in the last over to win the match.
Pak Shaheen won over Lahore Badshah by 5 wickets. Lahore Badshah collected a decent total of 205. Pak Shaheen chased down the target in just 15.3 overs. Ibrar Ul Haq blasted 87 off just 26 balls. Ateeq scored 25, while Abdul Waheed and Abdul Qadir contributed 22 each.
Amir Holydays lost to Fast CC by 95 runs. Fast, batting first, scored 214-6. Alamzaib played a brilliant knock of 72 while Zahid and Ijaz added 21 each. Samiullah bowled exceptionally well to pick up 4 wickets. In reply, Amir Holidays fumbled to 119. Kamran top scored with 40. Ijaz grabbed 2 wickets.
