Alhamrani Cup sees thrilling encounters

RIYADH — The eighth round of the Alhamrani Fuchs Cup, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA), saw a few big wins here recently.
In Al-Kharj Zone, KFSH Blues beat Amir Holidays by 31 runs. Electing to bat first, KFSH Blues scored 210-6 in 20 overs. Irshad hit 77 off 37 balls, while Qaiser added 51 and Ayaz 34. Amir Holidays was restricted to 179-7 in 20 overs. Irfan scored 39, Sajid 36 and Kamran 29. Danish and Irshad picked 2 wickets each, while Saqib, Usman and Gulraiz bagged one each.
Pak Shaheen beat Shuraim by 7 wickets. Batting first, Shuraim scored 123. Waqas hit 31 and Kashif 25. Abdul Salam took three wickets, while Ateeq and Wahab claimed 2 each. Pak Shaheen achieved the target in 16.5 overs. Faisal made 38 and Ateeq 27. Saeed and Inam bagged a wicket each.
Lahore Lions thrashed Lahore Badshah by 7 wickets. Lahore Badshah was all out for 169. Ali scored 40, Asif 39 and Yasir 35. Muzaffar and Ali Rizwan claimed 3 wickets each, while Nawaz and Waqas picked up 2 each. Lahore Lions, in reply, achieved the target in 15.5 overs. Asghar scored 66 and Muzaffar remained unbeaten on 64. Ali, Yassir and Asif picked a wicket each.
In Huraymala Zone, Saudi Jaguar beat RAC by 48 runs. Batting first, Jaguars scored 204. Arsalan hit 53, Faisal 32 and Rao 27. RAC, in reply, could only make 156. Owais took 4 wickets, while Haider and Rao claimed 2 each.
Fuchs beat Thales by 6 wickets. Thales took the strike first and managed 186 in 20 overs. Fahad scored 66 and Imran 36. Naseeb grabbed two wickets, while Shoaib and Shahid bagged 1 each. Fuchs achieved the target in 18.3 overs thanks to Nazim Ali, who scored 93. Shahbaz and Shakeel contributed 28 and 21, respectively.
Riyadh Warriors outplayed Riyadh Fighters by 10 wickets. Batting first, Riyadh Fighters scored 172 in 20 overs. Hameed hit 90 and Arshad 39. Abdul Rahim claimed 4 wickets, while Toufeeq and Abdul Ghafoor picked up 2 each. Riyadh Warriors achieved the target in 15 overs. Hassan remained unbeaten on 100, while Abdulaziz hit 52.
KFSH Green beat Green Bangla by 3 wickets. Green Bangla scored 177 in 20 overs. Mansoor Ali took 2 wickets. KFSH Green achieved the target in 18.1 overs. Suhail Bakhshi remained unbeaten on 65. Rafaqat also played well and made 26.
In other matches, Hyderabadi Warriors beat Pak Force by 65 runs; Stallions beat AB Contracting by 7 wickets; and Attieh Steels beat KFSH Knight Riders by 4 wickets.
In Riyadh Zone, TBCC beat Kashmir-XI by 8 wickets. Kashmir-XI was all out for a 72. Asik, Lajeesh and Faisal took 3 wickets each. TBCC raced to the target in 8.3 overs. Faisal scored 29.
Grundfos beat Lahore Badshah Green by 2 wickets in a nail-biting finish. Lahore Badshah Green, batting first scored 160-7 in 20 overs. Abu Bakar hit 44, Ali 34 and Jahangir 23. Raheel picked up 3 wickets. Grundfos achieved the target on the last ball. Faris 33, Raheel 25, Joji 24 were among the runs. Jaffar took 3 wickets and Zeeshan 2.
In other games Crescent beat Punjab Stars by 8 wickets; Sulaiman-XI beat TCS Riyadh by 8 wickets; and Friends-XI beat Seham by 2 wickets.
