A fire broke out in an ancillary area of a German nuclear power station near Hamburg on Thursday, police said. Cooling fluid in a transformer caught fire, but the nuclear reactor at Kruemmel Power Station was not in danger, police in the nearby town of Ratzeburg said. Nobody was injured, dpa reported. "For safety reasons the reactor has been shut down," the spokesman added.
