South African President Thabo Mbeki offered his condolences Sunday to earth-quake-stricken Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, dpa reported quoting SAPA news agency. "Our thoughts are with the peoples of your countries, especially those who have lost their loved ones, during this time of national morning," SAPA quoted Mbeki as saying. Mbeki offered to assist the countries in whatever way possible. More than 20,000 people are feared dead after a powerful 7.6- magnitude earthquake centred near the Pakistani capital Islamabad struck on Saturday.
