RIYADH — The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced on Friday that it investigated 425 public employees and detained 142 individuals in corruption cases during July 2025. Some of those detained were later released on bail. In a statement, Nazaha said it carried out 2,354 inspection rounds and pursued a number of criminal and administrative cases throughout the month. The suspects and detainees include employees from the Ministries of Interior, Defense, National Guard, Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Education, Health, Justice, Human Resources and Social Development, in addition to officials within the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority itself. Charges brought against them include bribery and abuse of power, according to the statement. Nazaha reaffirmed its commitment to combating corruption in all forms, stressing that accountability applies to all without exception, and that its efforts aim to safeguard integrity and strengthen trust in public institutions.
