The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has joined the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) as a regulatory member, a step that corresponds to the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in enhancing the Kingdom's position at the international level and achieving leadership in all fields. Accordingly, SFDA will be able to attend and vote on the Council's decision-making process which currently consists of full-membership twelve independent regulatory bodies, in addition to 32 observer organizations from around the world, and six industrial bodies representatives.
