U.S. stocks surged Wednesday, The Dow Jones industrial average rose 779.71, or 3.4 percent, to 23,433.57.
The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 90.57, or 3.4 percent, to 2,749.98.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 203.64, or 2.6 percent, to 8,090.90.
