U.S. stocks jumped Monday, with the Standard & Poor's 500 and the Nasdaq rallying to record highs
The Dow Jones industrial average rose 259.29, or 1 percent, to 26,049.64.
The broader S&P 500 index rose 22.05, or 0.8 percent, to 2,896.74.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 71.92, or 0.9 percent, to 8,017.90, marking the first time the index broke above 8,000.
