Saudi Arabia Bans Importing Cows from Spain

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has imposed a temporary ban on importing cows from the Kingdom of Spain due to a mad cow disease.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Director General of the Department of Animal Risk Assessment Dr. Sanad Al-Harbi disclosed that the ministry imposed the ban after receiving a notification from the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) confirming an emergence of the mas cow disease in Spain.
