Yapı Merkezi reaffirms its commitment to Saudi Arabia with the opening of its regional headquarters in Riyadh A new step in Turkish Saudi cooperation
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 22 - 10 - 2025

Yapı Merkezi, one of Türkiye's leading global engineering and contracting companies, has announced the opening of its new Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh.
This strategic move reflects the company's ongoing commitment to the Kingdom and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to attract international investment and strengthen regional economic development.
The opening of the new RHQ crowns Yapı Merkezi's successful journey in Saudi Arabia since the launch of its operations in 2011.
Over the past decade, the company has executed several vital infrastructure projects in the Kingdom with a total value exceeding SR6 billion.
The new headquarters will serve as a regional hub for managing the company's operations in Saudi Arabia while supporting its expansion plans across the Gulf region.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Emrullah işler, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Alhassan M. Hamidaldin, General Supervisor of Regional Headquarters at the Ministry of Investment.
The event also brought together several senior executives from both the Saudi and Turkish sides, along with representatives of the company's business partners.
Over more than a decade of activity in the Saudi market, Yapı Merkezi has contributed to several key national projects, including the Haramain High-Speed Railway stations in Madinah and Jeddah, the CTW130 railway project in Jubail, and the Na'iriyah Workshop project.
The company is also currently executing three major contracts for the maintenance and rehabilitation of railway lines operated by Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) across different regions of the Kingdom.
The new headquarters will house specialized teams in project management, engineering, business development, and corporate support, enabling Yapı Merkezi to provide comprehensive services while staying closer to its clients.
The company remains committed to advancing localization initiatives, knowledge transfer, and collaboration with Saudi companies and institutions to support the Kingdom's sustainable development goals.
Özge Arıoğlu, Member of the Board of Yapı Merkezi and the General Manager of Yapı Merkezi Regional Headquarters in Saudi Arabia, stated: "The opening of our regional headquarters in Riyadh marks a pivotal step in strengthening our presence within the Kingdom and supports our strategy to actively contribute to achieving the objectives of Vision 2030. We are fully committed to investing in Saudi talent, expanding our local partnerships, and participating in building a sustainable and prosperous future for Saudi Arabia."
"This occasion represents a proud milestone in our company's journey and partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This new headquarters is not only an investment in our business but also a symbol of our confidence in the Kingdom's future and our strong support for Vision 2030."
He added: "We deeply value the trust placed in us by Saudi authorities, our partners, and our clients. We are also honoured by the close cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Türkiye— a friendship built on mutual respect, shared values, and a unified vision for regional progress."
Founded in 1965, Yapı Merkezi is one of the world's leading companies in infrastructure, rail systems, and major engineering projects.
The company operates in more than 11 countries and has completed over 4,500 kilometres of railway and metro lines across more than 70 projects, transporting more than 3.5 million passengers daily worldwide.
Yapı Merkezi has also delivered over 42 million square meters of building projects across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
