Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. Almadinah newspaper commented on indicators of success of the Saudi-US summit held last month saying, "Perhaps the most important evidence of the success of the summit, which brought together U.S. President and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques," are reports yesterday about the United States' plan to increase support for Syrian opposition fighters. On a local issue, Alyoum newspaper commented on the impact of oil shale on the kingdom saying that oil shale must be considered as a supplement to conventional oil.
